  • The 'LDO Emerger' is tied to imitate the emerging stage of our Large Dark Olive (Baetis Rhodani).
    Dressing:
    Hook: Size 12 Kamasan B100
    Abdomen: Brown Olive Super Fine Dubbing
    Rib: No. 10 Glo-Brite Fluorescent Floss
    Wing: 2 - 4 Natural CDC feathers
    Thorax: Hare's mask/Pearl Ice Dub mix

    Nice way of tying the CDC in. Better than wrestling with 3 or 4 feathers in one go.

    Out here in Oregon, that would work great in a size 16 or 18 to imitate the blue winged olive mayflies. Nice work!

    will this pattern work on still waters? and what time of year is best to fish it please?

      It was tied for the river, but there's no reason why it shouldn't work on stillwaters.
