Hope you are well on the way to a full recovery Lindsay....great fly and demonstration. Love using snowshoe hare. I was luckyenogh to fish in Tierra del Fuego in 2008 and one of the ghillies Jorge took me fishing ....we used patterns he had tied using snowshoe. 👌
Great pattern, Lindsay. Thanks for sharing. I have just had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists, and all I can do is watch fly tying videos...keep them coming. 😎 How are your eye doing after surgery? Hope all is well.
A great LDO with several on point tips. Breaking the deer hair is a simple often ignored step both by newbies and old hands. Also the drop of glue/varnish on the threads under the head gives more service life to the dressing. One thing I will add is if you are getting low on snowshoe, hares mask or tree rat (African squirrel) can be used in substitution. With CDC fibres for the thorax/head.
Great to see you tying!!! Hopefully surgery got you back better than ever. Wonderful Fly 🪰. Thank you for sharing your talents 👍
Thanks buddy but this was filmed before the eye surgery..... hopefully I will be back tying again soon.
another great pattern for the fly box Lindsay and the snowshoe makes good dry fly bodies, ( hope the eyes are improving after the op )
Thanks John, eyes are doing better 👍
Good to see you back sir looks like the eyes are doing good now with that tie
Ah Neil this was recorded before the surgery pal. 👍

Nice looking fly! I´m gonna tie it!
Good luck! Easy for a man of your talents.
You make it all look too easy 😉
Practice, practice and even then it does not always go right, thanks Shawn.

It is a fair amount of effort but worthwhile I think.
