EDIUS 11 will get even faster! News from the EDIUS team (03-2024)

Michael Lehmann-Horn, CEO of magic multi media GmbH, worldwide distributor of Grass Valley EDIUS, is visiting the EDIUS team in Kobe, Japan. In an Interview with Katsushi Takeuchi, Grass Valley Vice President Editing Systems and Atsushi "Alex" Kataoka, Grass Valley EDIUS Product Manager, tell about the coming developments of EDIUS 11. EDIUS 11 is the first version of EDIUS which works with a database structure to allow AI service integration, collaborative work in teams and many new features.
Some users have reported a loss of performance, so the managent of the EDIUS team has decided to make EDIUS 11 the fastest version. The last EDIUS 11.xx updates have already shown a great performance optimization.

You can add video filters to titles without problems. EDIUS 11 includes ProDAD Vitascene V5 EE with many great filters and effects. Just put them on the title clip. Just be sure to use the Title clips in a normal video track and not in the special title tracks. The title tracks are great if you want to use the simple and fast title effects, but otherwise we recommend to always use title clips in normal V or VA tracks.

It might take time the first time you open a older EDIUS Project in EDIUS 11. But after this, opening the project in EDIUS 11 should be very fast. Please check.

EDIUS目前建立8K 59.94P工程的情况下，在全分辨率情况下，即使使用i7 13700K，RTX3070，仅仅播放音乐都会非常的卡顿，CPU使用率可以达到100%。即使时间线上没有任何视频，视频预览窗口栅格化图像对CPU造成了巨大的开销。

我们没有使用 i9-13700K 进行测试，而是使用不同的其他系统（intel/amd）进行测试，并且使用 8K 素材回放 8K 60p 时间轴根本不是问题。因此，也许您需要检查系统或联系您的 EDIUS 经销商。并且一定要使用最新的EDIUS 11版本。
