Turned out amazing Crafsman, hope you enjoyed making it. Also, quite surreal to pop up in a video you are watching... forgot we filmed that 😂
Uncle Bill, I never would've attempted such a thing if it wasn't for you laying the Beadbot foundation.
I did stress a little about how far to go without getting away from the "spirit" of the concept, ultimately taking it to more of a fantasy than rustic sci-fi place.
And thank you, so so much, for taking time to do that bit with me!
You guys are awesome
@@TheCrafsMan These are the cleanest beadbots I've ever seen. I'm surprised Bill didn't sneak in later to give them a good rust wash, as he is wont to do.
This was the colab I did not even know I needed! ❤🎉
Well done, so cool...such a formidable opponent.
Dang Crafsman, this was a good one! Wish I could see this whole diorama scene extrapolated into the a full-length animated film, winner of Best Animated Feature of 2025
Awesome diorama, Crafsman! Everything turned out great. I'm glad the filaments worked out for ya!
Couldn't have done it without you, my friend!
Where can we buy those filaments? Thanks!
"Then I paint it black and call it........sufficiant." 😂Best in joke ever.
@@Jimmy-sb3fc Search for "flexible LED filaments" (various sellers on Amazon have them available) or places like Adafruit, who sell them under the name "nOOds".
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much, @@TheCrafsMan!
Just to make it clear to the Algorithm, I am engaged, inspired, educated and enjoy with Mr. Crafsman and his amazing work! If any organic humans are still listening, Keep on Steady Craftin
;) I sincerely appreciate you!
I could almost cry with joy at seeing so many of my favourite crafting, makers and modelers represented in this make. It is uniquely Crafsman and also the community. It warms this jaded old grumps heart to see the respect and camaraderie.
This was such a heartwarming comment. I sincerely appreciate your enthusiasm for what we do. And I can tell you - we appreciate you too, because we wouldn't be doing this if not for people like you!
Very, very cool! I love the use of gears as the teeth on your main warrior and that wooden shield is so cool!
The worm is AWESOME. Man, he's a force to be reckoned with, "He look like his breath stank." It's true.
The felting needle is a great trick. Nice!
Black 5.75 is good stuff even if it is a little hard to find.
What a FUN video, sir, my hat's off to ya!
Love that we are currently in a crafting renaissance where all the master craftsfolk have joined forces to teach and enhance each other's work. Truly impeccable
It's like Watching the Avengers... for REALs... ;)
This is great! Hope you enjoyed it. I especially love the textures on the worm.
You're a painter in my eyes!
Dan, I really do appreciate this.
And I can genuinely say I did enjoy the build. (Not the EDIT - but certainly the build. LOL!)
Thanks again, my friend!
Wow!!!!
You just proved you don’t have to be a farmer to be out standing in your field.
MY MAN! :D
Thank you SO MUCH for this delightful comment! P.S. That one alllllways gets a good smile out of me!
Lol, "paint it with some Black 5.75. and call it sufficient." Best crossover I've heard all year. Shout out Boylei
Don't miss the Trogdor cameo!! 10:23
Nice work, as usual!
Its so beautiful to have all these artists being mentioned on your channel. This beautiful community joining together and helping each other
It looks so good! That needle felting trick might be something you could teach back to Boylei.
I'm sending some felting needles in his thank-you care package. :D
He really hooked me up on those lights (I think it woulda been a month or two wait ordering these) so it's the least I can do.
Man, the music in this video was so perfect and relaxing. Also, your sound mixing skills are so good. We get the detail sound of the work, and your voice, and this background music all at the perfect levels. I just appreciate the artistry of that.
Wow man your videos are soooo good!!! Don't get me wrong I have always loved your videos but you can see all the effort you are putting in to these. I feel like I am watching a PBS show from back in the day like 3-2-1 Contact, the production value is just next level. Everything is so tight, the editing, the music, the lighting, the voice overs, the builds its really great work all around.
Indeed, though the production value of a crafsman video is far superior than anything ever shown on TV, the video production in itself is a work of art.
This means so much, y'all! (As soon as I saw "3-2-1 Contact", I *heard* it - can remember those intros like they were yesterday. Maybe because I was still not THAT young when I last saw them. LOL!)
For real, y'all - the encouragement and positive feedback on this episode has been overwhelming. :)
CrafsMan: I'm not a painter. Paints incredibly. CrafsMan: I'm not very electrical. Electricals incredibly. The videography is off the hook. The production value mind blowing.
Craftsman did something new based on a couple friends. that is awesome. still glad you guys got to hang out
Crafsman’s visual treats mixed with DJ Blasman’s aural beats, is a combo ya’ll can’t defeat!
You've so steadily raised the bar on each of your videos that now every one looks like a "moon hurdle"! Thanks for sharing your amazing craft knowledge.
Your videos heal the soul, can't feed the squirrels nuts without thinking of "pee can" nuts 😅, thank you
You posted this 3 months ago, but it is exactly what I needed today. Your art always inspires, but I want to thank you especially for the work in making the video for us. You are the therapist none of us can afford.
The diorama is so good and it definitely feels like it’s telling a story and it makes me crave watching a stop motion film about these little beadmen fighting against this fire breathing worm
I'm glad Crafsman acknowledges Trogdor as the formidable opponent he is.
Craftsman has an uncanny ability to make something complex look simple. Crafting, video and editing.
Like the boylei inspired thumbnail!
Thank you!
And yes ma'am, 100% inspired by Boylei! :D
That young man's on a whole different level though. :)
I love how all these crafting channels are friends with each other
Despite not considering yourself a painter, I think you did a really good job, you just got to believe in yourself.
Great video as always😁
Spectacular music!
Honestly, seeing the amazing talented crafsman worries about painting stuff makes me feel a little better about my hobby time 😅
Haven’t watched in 4 years and I’m so insanely upset I have missed so much, I’ve taken on a career in the practical effects and makeup industry and that drive to create with my hands came from your videos, I originally watched because of your relaxing voice but stayed for the creativity, at this point you’ve developed such an amazing sense of comedic timing (which has always been said to be one of the hardest skills in acting and film production), I have a road trip tomorrow where I’m going to have to binge all your videos. Thank you for inspiring me and I’m excited TH-cam put you back in my life.
I came for the crafting, I stayed for the narration.
Crafsman! The music is outstanding in this video! Far out build.
Oooooh, some classic Crafsman crafs!
:D Hannah, thank you so much!
You've outdone yourself, Crafsman.
I am here for the making of this bologna monster. Rock on, Crafsman!
No Crafsman, no thank you. No, thank you, yeah.. Was having a not great day and now i'm smiling :) Loved following the collaboration with you guys and have enjoyed everything about it. Four of my favorite crafters/artists on youtube, and two of the four in my own state, thank you.
Hey, thank you so much for the kind words. I sincerely hope you are having a much better day!
So glad you enjoyed this one, and that it came at a good time. This comment means a lot.
Crafsman! I am so blown away! At first I thought that the LED wire in his mouth didn't look so great. Then a few fluffy stuff and puffs later you show the finished piece and I am incredibly impressed at how good the fire looks. It looks like a freeze frame of fire reflecting off the shield from movie or something. Very fluid motion feel. Impressive and inspiring ❤❤❤thank you for your content
And your filmmaking skills have become just as entertaining as what you’re filming. Still my favorite channel on TH-cam.
The still-photo of the hand, the changing of gloves, you love to teas and play with our minds...love it!
Fantastic! It's a little Bill, a pinch of Boylei and a whole lot of Steady Craftin!
Love how this started as a Bill Making Stuff video, ended a Boylei video but was still 100% a Craftsman video.
Unexpected Trogdor cameo!
;) It's neat that so many people are familiar with H*R and Trogdor!
I really enjoyed this episode. I can't believe you made little characters with so much personality out of beads. Also, I love your videos because they are calm, and your voice is soothing. Thank you for sharing.
This was gorgeous. I think we need a SteadyCraftin soundtrack release next.
I have followed this channel for years and gosh darn it I'm so glad I did. I absolutely love the work you to Crafsman. love how you show us your process, you give us tips, you encourage our own creativity. you make sure to mention those who have taught you things along the way as well. much love for my favorite crafting channel!!!
seeing a tall person in crafsman's workshop was crazy! it makes it look so small, but crafsman uses his space well :3 clearly he built it with every BODY in mind hehe
Man is it good to see apoxie sculpt used where necessary inna project. So many creator are glued to their hot glue guns as the only way to attach two pieces together that i get hype anytime i see proper apoxie maling an appearance!
The composition of this piece is amazing, love how it turned out. Also, real nice to hear all the love for other channels :) Keep on steady crafting!
Thanks so much! Unless I'm forgetting a build, this has to be the first time I've actually tried to pose and arrange elements in such a way. And I have to say, while there were times (as ALWAYS - in every video) where I'm not sure if it's going to turn out, it was satisfying when things fell into place. Thanks for watching!
For some reason I felt so happy when I saw you bring back needle felting 😊 I was like "Hey, that's that curious little thing he did a while ago!'" Great video!
:D So happy to read this! It was neat (made me remember the magnetic one we made and all - LOL!) and I was so hoping we still had folks around who caught that old episode. :D
You know that the craftin' is getting real steady when second gloves come out.
Love how this video has such a different flavor to it than usual. I can see the touches of influence from Boylei and Bill making stuff just from the nature of the build alone. Always a pleasure to watch you at work. God bless, sir.
I truly appreciate these words!
@TheCrafsMan you're welcome, sir. It does, of course, have your usual touch and style as well.
That worm is amazing!
That was an absolute delight! I love your brave little bead bot that's climbing the worm!
That tiny Trogdor the Burninator is Amazon. Love your channel so much. Also always so happy to see two of my favorite TH-cam crafters get together
The Bob Ross of crafting.
You have really outdone yourself on this one!!! I was pretty impressed with the bead bot and then you go and make the "Tremor's worm" Thanks for the inspiration and the great entertainment.
This is the most coolest piece I’ve have seen in a very long time!
Outstanding! Your tribute to both "Bill Making Stuff" and "Boylei Hobby Time" was great. You especially made me chuckle with your "black 5.75" and your "call it sufficient". Classic chuckles.
This feels like when they’d do a crossover episode of your favourite Saturday morning cartoons
This was the best half hour of my day. Thanks Crafsman. Your work is always amazing.
Brilliant piece of scratch building, Crafty-MAN!
Thank you, TheCrafsMan! This is an absolute work of art and joy to see come together. I truly admire how you envision what can be with all those disparate pieces to put them together into something wonderful! Some stages, to me, don't quite make sense but then as more gets added it turns into an amazingly detailed creation that's real exciting to see come alive.
Wow! I'd watch a movie of these characters.
First, I love watching the collab videos with some of my favorite youtubers. It's kind of like being let into your friendship inner circle. 😊 Second, the build is lovely and is really inspiring me to get into some sculpting I've had on the back burner. Third, loved seeing Trogdor!! And I loved black 5.75. Sounds extra fancy. 😂
One of my favorite parts of this is the sound design; from the froggish alien gurgling language (hidden even in the beginning as foreshadowing?) to the more subtle whooshes and transitions and of course the original music. Crafsman continues to up the skill level ante' every time. Nice to see some straight up crafting again, too. Inspiring as always.
Love, love LOVE it, Crafsman! The geek factor is off the charts! ❤ It's perfect in all of it's "sloppiness." And I love that we can see a collection of so many of your acquired techniques through the years. That slow fade primer transition on the worm stumped me. Very slick! And who's hand is that at the 25:40 mark??? Love on you, sir!!
Heeeyyy, Trogdor made it into the shot this time! :D
This episode is a masterpiece! Thank you so much for making your own music. It is so refreshing and relaxing.
Tour-de-force, mon ami. Formidable!
The sound track... >chef's kiss
Aww, thank you so much!!!!!
That was the best 27 minutes I have spent today.
Oooo! Like crossing a lamprey and a crawdad---it's a Shai-Hulud! And a Mouse Guard fan, no less ❤
There’s so much in this video like the cabochons around the base of the worm creature’s feet or the frog face on the little bot, or the energy and life in the poses. But also? This music is AMAZING. Combined with your voice I went into a trance.
I've seen people use cotton wool for all sorts of hobby and miniature wargame applications, but you are the first I've seen felting it to give it structure, which is an excellent idea.
What a fearsome looking creature.
Man! More of these please! This has to be one of my favorite videos you've done and I love all of the wonderful expressiveness of this diorama!
Thanks, buddy! Your feedback is taken to heart.
P.S. Do you enjoy the Dollar Tree kitbash/builds? I ask because I've got this little Christmas villager who looks like he needs to be operating a mech or a tank or something. :D
@@TheCrafsMan I love all your stuff man! Keep all the crazy builds coming!
"The last thing to do... is paint it with some BLK 5.75... and call it... sufficient." made me literally laugh out loud. Phenomenal as always CrafsMan!
Crafsman, you made my day. Working on a project involving a giant worm and this is perfect!
It made me really glad to read this! :D :D
"sufficient"?!
U out yo mind w that!
THAT SIR IS AMAZING!
He is the bob Ross of crafting 😮
The levels of change the model went through from the start to your final vision was just..revelatory. This is WONDERFUL. It turned out even better than expected and I expect so much from you and you always deliver. That is so cool. I’d pay so much to have a model of that on a shelf lol.
Have you ever considered reaching out to squidmar miniatures and seeing if ya’ll could do a collab where you maybe make a monster/creature for their 40k figures and they paint up some figures for you and you can do a stop motion or a set or something? They have a very large community and their painting videos for figures and plastics are on another level. They also do WONDERS with their bases and adding such depth to their scenarios. No pressure. Just thought it would be super duper cool.
Thank you so much for the obvious HOURS and HOURS spent building, painting, and editing this!
That is truly stunning, Crafsman.
It is. I love to say "Crafsman" 😂
I laughed so hard when you said "Time to reveal a big secret..." pulled off the gloves and said "Trick!" hahaha
Now that I've watched this once I think that I could just listen to it as I fall asleep. The voice and soundscape is perfect for drifting off to sleep.
Loved this. The whole aesthetic of it is great.
Wow! Just wow wow wow!! I hope the bead bots defeated their foe
Love it. I’m so nerdy, but I love that you guys all know each other. I really love when you show the thought processes and the figuring it out of it. Very encouraging. I haven’t respected a puppet so much since Kermit the frog. 😜
🎶 Trogdooor!!!! Brunanating all the bead bots. 🎵…. But in the case I’m hopeful that the little bead bot is triumphant. :)
Haha! Yes, I hope they do better than the uh... peasants. :)
Crafsman! That priming transition was buttery smooth! Amazing work
Thank you! :D I took a pencil and traced around the base while it was on the workbench, got my shot, didn't move the camera, ran outside to prime it, set it back in the spot, and picked back up filming. :) Then it's just a cross-dissolve between the two shots as my hand went down the side of the screen.
Thank you for watching!
The fire blast is incredible! Im blown away, that was such a cool idea and one i never would have thought of. Awesome work!
Thank you so much! Credit to Boylei Hobby Time for introducing me to the filament fire blast technique. :D
Love that your beadbots still had the classic Crafsman vibe. Such a fun video
Craftsman upped his game!
I really appreciate the incredibly wide variety of materials you use. as a very amateur artist on a tight budget I was surprised how many times I went “oh, I have that” with your supplies. Thanks again for always inspiring me.
So gorgeous. Such personality. Trogdor the Burninator. Beautiful work. Thank you.
That is a thing of Beauty, Mr. Crafsman
That shield is amazing.
Crafsman, this is the best build you ever did. What an AMAZING result!
Epic! Thank you for posting! Better than a movie any day.
Crafsman, I admire and appreciate everything you do but these are my favourite favourites videos. I had such a massive smile all the way through, just love your creative soul and your adorable ingenious makings. Thank you for making the world a brighter place.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful ❤❤❤
Top stuff there. Really love the bark trick; the worm somehow reminds me of a D&D purple worm or Overworm.
Thank You! I often get frustrated/embarrassed/ashamed of my talent/skill level (or lack thereof) after watching Dr. Garuda and/or Art Chong Art, because their work is SO precise and realistic, and seems so effortless. But you and Bill Making Stuff (hi Bill) remind me that I can just make what I want with whatever I have at hand. Though because nobody but me and Kitten-Face will ever see the things I make, I (in my head) feel justified in expecting perfection and I don't have the talent my brain seems to think I must. So Thank You (and Bill. hi again Bill) for giving me another voice to argue against my brain with.
So I will keep on Shaky Crafting
This means a lot to me (and I'm sure Bill would appreciate as well)! It's also extra reassurance. I like to show how low-tech this can be, because I talk to so many people who are intimidated by even the idea of *trying* to make something. It's disheartening, because I know how much MENTAL HEALTH benefit in particular I get from crafting, and I want other people to experience this for themselves.
So please, sincerely, know that you CAN make something: Start simple (I used to see how much I could make out of JUST aluminum foil, for example) and slowly develop both:
- Skill.
- Your own "voice" or style.
Also, I find that creative type folks often have *less grace for themselves* than they do for other artists. ie. Things we criticize about our own work might not bother us when we see it in someone else's work. (For the record, I see channels like Studson, Boylei, CCMinis, Craftastrophe, Bill Making Stuff, etc. and feel so very inadequate. Their work to me is much cleaner, more polished, witty, and better presented. But comments like yours go a lonnng way in helping me maintain some degree of confidence! Thank you so much! Stay creative!)
Nah you're my inspiration crafsman.
@@TheCrafsMan Oh I've been sculpting since I was a kid, and I make stuff all the time, it's just like you said, I am over-critical of my own work, I think I feel because I am only making it for me, I somehow am supposed to be "better" than I actually am? If that makes any sense?
@@BillMakingStuff Oh hey, I was just talking about you
@@BillMakingStuff Well Both of y'all got me through 2020 anyway (and I totally steal techniques from both of ya, and Boylie HT aswell)
