The S6 sounded superior from the first notes to me. The instrument timber and character is more noticeable and realistic. Same with the vocals - a veil is removed and more detail of her voice and more ambience is present. The bass notes also have a more relaxed, effortlessness while at the same time being fuller. The Little Italy is no slouch though - they both sound wonderful. The compression of the auido recording equipment seems present to me as well - it sounds like some kind of automatic recording level process is happening - when louder passages hit the volume goes down and then slowly creeps up again but it takes a little oomph out of the dynamics- but possibly it’s just the original recording. The sound quality is really great though curious what mics were used. I’d LOVE to get to hear the differences in person. I have the Triod25 and love it and listened to all the youtube demos before buying (but it was bought used at a distance so no demo possible). What I can say is with good headphones (I use Senheiser Momentum 2) it’s possible to start to get a sense of how tube/valve amps are smooth in ways that solid state amps arent. But of course these headphones have solid state amps in them so it makes sense that we can’t hear the full picture. The Triode 25 in person is even smoother. It has lots of punch too. I’m curious now that I’ve tasted the very high quality of Unison sound, to hear what they do with Class A in their middle teir (as we have here with the S6). One day I’ll get to hear it in person and see. Would love to compare it with the Sinfonia. Just listened to this track on the Triode 25 - it is astounding! (I use B&W matrix 805 speakers and it drives them very well).

I can’t hear much difference between the amplifiers, however I can definitely hear the the PMC 24 speakers they have a sound of their own.

It was until I change the pre valves of S6 to Goldlion 12AX7, the sound stage changed drastically,Italy is also a nice sounding amp tough ..
