Thanks, Camila🌷I would like very much a video about the two Oxford novels by Pip Williams! I loved The House of Doors and found it a pity it wasn’t shortlisted. I enjoyed Days at the Morisaki Bookshop, but didn’t really love it. However I’ve just downloaded on audible Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop, which sounds like a South Korean take on the same topic, the quiet healing power of books when everything else falls apart. 📚🥰
Great wrap up, 2 DNFs is great - better than pushing through and putting yourself in a reading slump! I heard from multiple reviewers now that find Japanese fiction sometimes dry, I have What You Are Looking for is in the Library on my TBR, I’ll see for myself :) can’t wait to see your non-fiction November TBR!
Lovely wrap up, The Bookbinder of Jericho sounds really nice!! I feel you on posting shamefully late wrap ups haha, it can be difficult to maintain that booktube-life balance. Looking forward to your thoughts on your October reads :)
The misery and despair tone of Morisake bookshop was not fun for me to read. The main character constantly imagining herself in love is 🙄😑 too. I have one book by a male Irish author I really like 😂 otherwise The Irish authors I tend to like are female… My copy of The Sea went out of the house as quickly as possible too! 😁 Looking forward to November with you!
I saw "An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good" in a bookshop once, and I wanted to pick it up! You seemed kinda lukewarm towards it but I still might like it better!

I think there wasn't much to be because it's so short, but I can see it being a good shot of a book haha
@@hasteyebooks I finished it a few months ago, and I had pretty lukewarm feelings toward it as well 😅. It is kinda too short to really get invested
