Agree/understand your grievances. On sidewalks, I too wonder if it's because of the weather (being a tropical country, it can be too hot and too heavy rains as well hence many may choose not to walk outside anyway, except at parks & where there are good sidewalks) but it shouldn't be I guess.
And yes, maintenance is a common issue.
On PR though, I think one can apply. I think there are different categories with eligibility requirements. I know of people with Malaysian PR. Try googling or getting in touch with people knowledgeable in that eg: immigration lawyer, employment agencies (get reliable/good ones) or just people you know/trust, who could probably advise.
Anyway, surely we as Malaysians have our own "complaints" but at the same time still grateful for a lot of things. As they say; nothing, no one, no place is perfect.😇
Last but not the least, good luck, if you're serious about applying for Malaysian PR.✌😊

I totally agree with everything both of you have said. As a Malaysian, I also have to tell myself to be prepared with a lot of time and patience at the bank, etc.
We are also "trained" not to walk so much 😅 that's why we don't have enough sidewalks 😢. I guess those of us who live in 'Taman' (landed housing areas) can do our walking around the neighbourhood, on the road, when there's less traffic.
It would be sad if you leave just because you are fed up of renewing your work visa, so I hope the best for you as you search for more knowledgeable people to help you apply for the PR. Fighting!💪

Regarding suggestion of next topics, here are my suggestions:
For Sun: Since you've stayed in Malaysia for 2 years already, it means you came in 2020/2021. What were some surprising things for you, e.g, previously as a working man in Seoul? How did you adapt when you first arrived here, in the middle of Corona at that time, other than having Loy around 🙂? (I think your case is unusual because many foreigners went back to their home countries but you left your home country during a time of great uncertainty.)
For Loy: What made you decide to work overseas? Were there push factors of working in SK? How might life be different for you if you were working in SK?
Of course, if they are too personal, then no need to consider. We understand.

    • @kkorong
      @kkorong  ปีที่แล้ว

    • @250Loy
      @250Loy ปีที่แล้ว

Thank you for your kind comments we're always try to be open to suggestions so hopefully we can improve it in the future.
About the PR that you said, i know for the fact that you can get a PR if you live here long enough. I know some people who successfully obtained their PR and they're living here for many years. And if you're for example, married to a Malaysian, the process of approval would be way easier.
But in your case specifically, i think there are some requirements before you can apply for PR like you have to stay in the country for a couple of years without leaving etc. Now im not sure about the current requirements but if you are serious about getting a PR rest assured it's not impossible but got to seek consultation with a professional in this regard so that you can receive proper guidance.
Hope that this can be helpful 🥰✌️

I'd like to hear from you about the contra. This will make the representative take action.
    1. Sidewalks need to follow the standard of the best city in the world. I watch a lot of foreign TH-cam videos on this subject. Some people complained that the sidewalks were uneven, making it difficult to wear high heel shoes. Some parents have a hard time using strollers for their babies. I'm sure administrators know well the condition of sidewalks in the city. We are not only interested in the tourism sector but also in KL City as a whole. It will be a turning point for attracting more people to love the city for its facilities and safety. Please check the best sidewalk that other cities have on earth and standardize this for all Malaysian cities and towns. This is not a wasteful investment but a step to make Malaysia more recognized as the best sidewalk in the future.
    2. Some sidewalks are beautiful, but they are not built throughout the city. Just to connect transportation and the mall. There are numerous sidewalks that lead to dead ends. Some places in the city are hard for people to walk.
    3. I hope the representatives, authorities, and government look at this as a good jump start to take KL City or another city in Malaysia to another level. Please don't compare Malaysia with any 3rd world country in the world, as Malaysia is already listed as a 1st world country.

    1. Sidewalk and infrastructure not well in place - still have rooms for improvement
    2. Public transportation :
    a. Bus stop with no proper signage
    b. bus interval time and arrival time always not punctual or late
    3. Efficiency of Civil servants : slow and inaccurate response or information, as you highlighted 😂
Overall Malaysia is still a liveable yet friendly country

    WHY NOT MANY SIDEWALK?
    FIRST : It's not normalize.
We only see foreigners walk, and it's weird to us, but we don't say it.
Actually it's not normal for Malaysian to walk over 30meters, especially new generation. we'd ride a motorbike at least. We've been spoilt with transportation since kid. Plus Because of hot weather and it is not our habit/routine to walk around in heat. Unless at park or jogging area.
    CITIZENSHIP?
in Malaysia's Constitution, during independence, the rights were there to protect Malaysian people, race and religion. Yes, to protect. We can be tolerant but the line need to be drawn there. To saw what happened to American who lose identity, Palestinian who lose land and authority,. Thank God our Constitution specialized our rights.
