    Zman lures. How to rig them. What species i catch on them and how i overcome some of the problems associated with them.
    Zman lures are fantastic lures that some people are put off because of some common problems associated with them. DONT let this deter you, they are easily remedied and are fantastic baits. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. I run through easy solutions, my favourite ways of rigging them, which ones i have and what species i catch on them. They will catch most species of fish.
    Thanks

    Really enjoyed this video ty..... Im fairly new to lure fishing and one of the things I can't get my head around is bait size. I look at even some of the smallest and think " Is a Perch gonna take that". Im sure im restricting myself to smaller fish but I just can't get my head around it 🤷🙈

      Great football team mate. Sure they will win tonight. If you can take a second rod to use with bigger baits. A good sized Perch will think nothing of a 5in lure, they have huge mouths.

      @@TheConstantAngler On my way to the game as I type lol.
      Yes I agree, and I will take a second set up offering a bigger mouthful. I just have a picture of smaller fish not managing anything I rig. Just need to catch something that proves me wrong lol, it's been either one way or the other so far according to lure sizes👍👍

    As an inshore saltwater fisherman (red drum, spec trout, flounder) I don’t use your type lures but use a lot of other Z-Man lures. I’ve been using their keeper hooks but will try your rigging tricks for other hooks I have in the tackle box.
    I occasionally bass fish but have never understood how to choose from the myriad variety of worm style baits.

      Good to here. As far as worm baits go the Senko is the most versatile. You can fish it weightless/weedless, on a Texas rig or chop it in half and fish it on Ned rigs.

    I love to t-rig a 4" zman or strike king elaztech finesse worm, with no weight, and drag it over pads and weeds for bass, and whatever else will hit it. I throw this on a 5'6" Light rod, with my Scorpion BFS xg spooled with 8 lb braid. Last year I landed a really nice American yellow perch, in a farm pond, with the same type of worm on a 3.5 g shakey head. I really wish zman would expand on their micro sized baits with elaztech. They do have have some 2" curl tail grubs, which I have some, would be better if they had other creatures in that size though.

      sgtpavlov sounds good mate. Never thought of that. Definitely need more smaller lures from ZMAN. I’m just really getting into BFS so would use them. Never had a Yellow Perch but we do get the odd one over here.

      @@TheConstantAngler the yellow perch here are very similar to European perch, other than a few minor differences like color scheme and amount of spines. They behave the same, and I read they could even be hybridized they are so similar.

    I have good results using Loctite control gel to hold zman in place. Does the superglue smell deter fish?

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure. I think action of the lure is more relevant

    I have to admit that when i first started using zman lures the 'bunching up' used to drive me mad.
    I arrived at the same float stop solution, but like Mike advocates; also use half of one under the point section of the hook.
    Due to their stretchy nature i found that on the retrieve the point would not be texposed anymore.
    Zman are great lures without a doubt,but i tend to favour other brands thesedays.
    Partly down to availability,but also because i find it less hassle to change up a lure when fishing.
    I must be getting lazy mate
    :-)
    Enjoyed this video Adrian.
    Fish well buddy

    Hello good sir! Are those also your color preferences? :)

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they are the ones I trust but up until recently they were all that was available here. I do like an orange bellied and brown backed lure also so may invest. Green pumpkin back and Chartreuse belly is also one of my favourites. Thanks for your support
