Thank you so much!! I recovered 94 files, a bit over 1.2 Gb that I thought were lost. Your explanation helped greatly with this program. At first I could not get it to select my flashdrive, but then I found how to show it. After that the steps were straightforward, and your directions very clear and concise. Other programs promise "free recovery"...but they find some files, and then demand that one buy the program to actually 'recover' them, or there is a 500MB limit, etc. As an unabashed dinosaur, I GREATLY appreciate the time that knowledgeable folks like you give to share these kinds of helpful tutorials and programs. All the best to you and yours!! 👍
It is a very helpful video. Good Job! I have a quick question. Can you search for a specific extension in TestDrive? For Instant I am trying to recover a file that the extension is .CNT Can you help? Thank you in advance!
I had to use this video, and it was the most helpful ever (especially with the detailed steps!) My question though is whether or not it’s possible to get the dates back to the photos that were deleted. Instead of having random numbers as its name, is it possible to get the dates back to when the photos were taken?
Probably not. Since the recovery of the photos is not based on the meta data and instead the signature of the file data on the disk. It does not have any meta data associated with it.
This was a useless piece of software since it lost all my file names. Its great that it recovered 10000+ files...that have no identifiers. Never been so pissed in my life.
Understand that the files name is stored as meta data. When you delete a file. You are deleting the meta data and the poiter to the actual file. The files are recovered.

There is no option for "undelete" just Type, Image Creation, and Quit. 😬

It should
@@TechworksOnline unfortunately with the GUI scan search found nothing
Will it still work if the device doesnt show or like---mount?
The device needs to at least appear to the OS. I dont think it needs to be mounted though.
@@TechworksOnline Okay man, thanks. Great work
Bro how to save

@@TechworksOnline is it possible to recover that metadata from the PC it was wiped on? Might windows store that information somewhere?
If this didn't recover the meta data then it is gone.
@@TechworksOnline does that happen at the end or does it happen as each file is recovered?
@@TechworksOnline Im doing it again, but I eliminated files that I dont care to recover and it has drastically sped up the process
