I am Christian, but I love the late 1980's and early to mid 1990's Christian music. Sandi Patty, Twila Paris, Carman, Michal W. Smith, David Meece, Wayne Watson, Larnelle Harris. 4 him, Ray Boltz, and Evie , Phillips, Craig & Dean, Steven Curtis Chapman, these people were and still are the true Christian music of today. I can not imagine News Boys, Toby Mac, Casting Crowns, and Third Day singing that 1985 classic song Do Something Now in a group and making the song sound beautiful.
I am so conflicted as to how I should feel about this whole thing. On one hand I'm thinking, an award ceremony for Christian singers? Are you f'ing kidding me? Large paid concerts, award ceremonies, it has just become a large business that shamelessly models itself after the secular entertainment industry, something that I don't think should be aspired to. On the other hand, I think it's good that Christians are getting more attention, even if for now it's only among other Christians. We need more vocal Christians in Hollywood and media, so maybe this isn't such a bad thing. I'm not sure.
But you are probably are ok with your favorite movie and tv show performed by worldly people. You probably go to a job to work with worldly people. You probably like Disneyland with all sorts of witchcraft and magical concepts? Jesus said judge a tree by its fruit not its appearance. No one´s chasing after them to stop them preaching?" - "Well, actually, being a christian nowadays is easier than before.... we try not to disturb anybody´s life..... or tell them about holiness.... we need to look wordly to gain souls...... they were almost all there. bill even performed with matt maher. i was there. they are artists who are just not at the forefront anymore. sandi patty a couple years ago they did a whole thing for her and all the big female artists of now samd a medly of her songs
Trying not to be judgmental but I only heard a few of them thank god. You hear more people thank god at the Grammys than here. I don't know just thought that was odd still I love em and their music
I understand a few people think it's bad that the Christian music industry is becoming very worldish. BUT. You also need to understand this is a modern world now. As long as you love Christ with your entire soul and use the music to speak Gods word it isn't so bad. We have concerts of News Boys, Toby Mac, Casting Crowns, Third Day, ect and I'm sure you've probably went to one before, wouldn't that count as "worldy" ?? Its only world like of the Christian attend the Billboard Awards, AMA, BET, GRAMMYs ect. By the way, Idk about the host though lol but not such a bad job.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.”(Romans 12:2).There are good and bad people in all beliefs but we also have to remember ”For many are called, but few are chosen”(Matthew 22:14).
