    Guys like Martin are why Duck Commander stays so successful. Surround yourself with a good team and the rest becomes easy. Thank you for the videos. Anyone that truly loves duck hunting has a greater appreciation for the conversation aspect. Hearing about all the native grasses, and you helping to identify them… really helps the whole process.

    Great video ducks love moist soil plants. I agree the produce a lot mostly less insect problems and more tolerant to weed competing. I think a lot of field crops especially milo just don’t attract waterfowl like the old days.keep up the good work enjoyed it

    Hey Martin, wish you where with me every time I killed a limit in coffee weed.
    Idk if there’s enough finger and toes between us. That was in S. Ark btw. Pink smart weed was the dominant plant in that area also. Wish we could chat.
    Great series, glad you’re spending time helping people better duck areas.

    • @JMartinduckman
      @JMartinduckman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No doubt you can kill em in it but aside from overhead cover it just doesn’t provide much else. Other grasses will grow beneath em but can get a much better stand if they’re gone

    • @duckbrian7973
      @duckbrian7973 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin Martin. Your right b/c it was always early 1st split. Then timber holes with white oaks. In the big open holes that had a lot of Johnson grass lasted till second split and that was it on the grass seeds. Idk if the seed was ate or went bad. Over all acorns made it all season.
      Hope you keep showing the different grasses ducks like. We even had big millet field planted and found out until it volunteers good it’s hard to keep ducks feed.

      @@JMartinduckman I was wondering whether or not natural food sources like millets or smartweed are better to hunt over and attract more ducks than crops like corn or rice. Thanks!

    • @JMartinduckman

      Ian Boswell depends on who ask and where you are. When it’s cold, grain is hard to beat. When it’s mild I prefer moist soil.
