New Locomotive Joins the Collection! Lionel Western Maryland 1309 Review

- Hello, all!
Feels like it's been a while since I uploaded to this channel, hasn't it? Well, I've been busy, but one fun update has come that I have been waiting to share with all of you: Lionel's rendition of "The Beast of the East," Western Maryland 1309! I received her from TrainWorld about a week or so ago and I couldn't wait to get her on the layout to show her off.
This marks my very first locomotive video review on this channel, so let me know if you want to see more videos like this in the future. I'll definitely make more if people want them. :)

Great review, can't wait to get mine this week. I saw 1309 a couple of decades ago at the B&O museum. So glad to be able to get a model of it in Western Maryland running livery. I like where your layout is going. I subbed.

Very nice. That is a fine looking locomotive and it looks real good running around the layout. For once, all of the whistles sound pretty good, although the first one is the most prototypical, as usual. The first bell is always the best. The others sound too tinny. I would turn off the crew talk, though. Not too realistic, at all. Either way, a fine locomotive and a good rendition of 1309. An excellent video.
Hopefully the model will run better than the prototype which has not run since last December, and needs more repairs before it runs again...
Only learned about that just recently. It’s rather sad that 1309 is out of service again. I would love to see her in person.
But the model runs great!
