- In this video is one of the most exciting and successful arrowhead hunts you will ever see . We all dream of finding a cache or a hole in the creek filled with points. This is it! One small hole and a dream came true. All this plus plus tons of petrified wood and a rare creature not seen very often.

What a great day for you guys!
Thanks.
That was a crazy looking turtle
And a dangerous one of you're not careful.
Beautiful quartz point and huge.
Thanks!
Love those Ms. Colors . Nice little bear creek points .
Thanks and thanks for helping on the typing. We are really bad at it. lol Good luck out there.
Heartbreaker Relics No problem look like a Hardin and a Kirk Corner Notch
I'm north of you all in Louisville Ms . The type names shouldn't vary much .
Thanks again my friend.
I wouldn't think so but like I said, we are notoriously bad at typing. lol
I have not collected arrowheads since I was a kid . Now retired my husband and his childhood friend go hunting in fall and just
Pick them up. We also found pottery. I'll send you my treasures when I get back . Love your energy and enthusiasm . Puts a smile on my face .
Thanks so much for watching and for the great comment. Good luck out there.
Love yourshow
Thanks!
Awesome day u guys got to love them creeks🤩
Thanks! Yep, there's nothing like creek hunting!
I have some beautiful points made from petrified wood and palm. Very pretty points.
Yes they are, especially palm wood points.
Your music is very sensible and suitable to this film. Just had to tell you how well I feel , such a rare adventure. And the turtle, just awesome. What a treat y'all gave us. Thanks fellas.
Thank you for the great comment. We love to hear when folks enjoy what we do. GL&HH
Yalls enthusiasm is infectious. I got my jade marble today. Its not quite as cool as that gameball though. Thanks fellas for sharing.
Thanks! It is our pleasure!
You guys are awesome!! What a day with so many different unforgettable finds. I'm glad you don't fight over who gets what lol
Thanks so much.
Loved the theatrics Man. Man y'all having a great hunt. Brautiful points and great film on the turtle. I always have good luck when I see turtles. Must have been the Great Spirit visiting you and blessing you boys with this great hunting area.
Thanks Calvin, for watching and for the great comment. Yes, we were truly blessed in this hunt. Good luck out there.
Beautiful artifacts,really cool critter!
I don't understand those 8 thumbs down??
Thanks Mike. Some people just gonna hate.
@@HeartbreakerRelics I still don't understand what's to hate? Some guys in the woods enjoying each other's company while persuing a passion and love of the outdoors, reclaiming bits of the past that otherwise would be lost for ever.
Talk about a relic. That turtle was cool
Thanks. We thought that was just absolutely cool and to be able to get it on video was even better.
Pretty place. Love your photography! Do well!!
Thanks.
Absolutely Amazing! These days are why we do this. Huge Congratz! The only time I seen an alligator turtle while digging for points in a creek ...I did GREAT!!! Maybe they bring us Good Luck! If you interested it is my video called , We found a Live Dinosaur!
Thanks. I'll check it out.
"And just when you think it can't get any better" -BOOM!!!
Guys....Love it, Love it, Love it.
Words can't adequately describe the moment when Spike found his best point yet. It was almost spiritual. The elation, admiration, and appreciation that was all over Spike when he discovered the big Talahatta point... ... was beyond just a whoop and a holler. .. It was like his soul was pricked by that point and a connection was made to a place and time thousands of years prior. The sheer awe and respect for the ancient artifact and it's craftsman, was gripping!
.. Great job capturing it Randy! Really enjoyed the entire hunt! Thanks for the rescues and sharing them with us! Incredible day! I'm happy for you guys! 👊
-Donnie
Thanks Donnie! It's like you were there! That's exactly how it went down. If that had been the only point I found that day it would have been fine but to come out of the bottom of that hole in almost the last scoop after all the other points had come out was incredibly emotional. We're glad you enjoyed it.
@@HeartbreakerRelics - I definitely did! Can't wait for yall to get back out there!
Spike cleaned up right nice!
Yep, it was a good day. Probably my best day ever as far as number of finds in a short period of time. Thanks again for your support and GL&HH.
What a hunt...........
Thanks and thanks for watching. It was one of those days we always dream about. Good luck out there.
What a great video of old American history and of man's respect of natures rare modern living Dinosaur Snapping Turtle. That snapper was an old one. I wish i was there with you men.
Thanks for watching and for the comment. We appreciate it. The turtle was so cool.
Love it! Great videos guys
Thanks. We appreciate it.
That White Color Is Petrified Palm Wood!
Thanks.
U guys are killer cool!!!!🙏🙏👌👌👍👍👏👏🙌🙌🤘🤘
Thanks! We appreciate that.
really nice day at the creek!! beautiful points, huge OLD turtle. thanks guys.
Thanks and thanks for watching and leaving a comment. It was one of those days that come along once in a blue moon. Good luck out there.
I really enjoy watching You Guys havin fun! Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
We call that a double dipper here in TX, Randy. Awesome hunt guys.
Thanks!
You guys pulling the artifacts is great! But I gotta tell yall that the enthusiasm and pure enjoyment that yall show is absolutely what makes you guys videos! Creek adventure rising.
Thanks Garry for the kind comment and for watching. We have been doing this for a long time and it never gets old. If we had a camera on us the second we find something it would put the NFL celebrations to shame. Again thanks for watching and good luck out there.
I live in IL and have never seen an alligator snappin turtle, and if done a lot if turtle fishing. Pretty cool to see.
Thanks for watching and for the comment. I have only seen a couple in my life and this is the biggest by far. I would never have expected to see one, especially this big, on a creek this small.
@ 13:20 give or take is that a petrified piece of bone directly above the double find almost center of video????????
It is petrified wood. That creek is loaded with it.
wow
Thanks and thanks for watching and for the comment. Good luck out there.
Great day gentlemen, but what is the rock with the brown with blue inside, it’s beautiful!!!!
Thanks. That is part of the creek bottom. It is clay with ancient marine deposits.
great video and great finds. You guys are stand up individuals it was a pleasure to meet and hang out with y'all
Thanks Scott. The pleasure was all ours my friend. So glad it all worked out and we're looking forward to our next get together. BTW, you are one heck of a relic hunter buddy!
Heartbreaker Relics thank you my friend
I’m just watching this video again... got to be one of y’all‘s best videos hope to see more of y’all this summer!
Thanks Jeff. I always thought it was one of our best too. We will be back out there soon. Deer season is over so we have two, possibly three, hunts scheduled for the first couple weeks in March. Wish us luck my friend and GL&HH.
Your more than welcome Sir.
What is the blue green colored stuff?
Thanks for the question. The green stuff is the clay bottom of the creek. It's a formation indicative of an ancient marine environment.
I'm kinda getting hooked
That's a good thing! We really do try to make a great video. We try to make something that's enjoyable to watch from beginning to the end.
Hey Randy. What did they use the blunt tips for??
Thanks for the question. They were used for scraping stuff like hides or sticks.
I just started the hobby. You men inspire me!! I found my first point this very morning!!
@@gettintothapoint9769 CONGRATULATIONS! That is awesome! It's on now! You're hooked!
awesome finds guys that's one cool turtle to man he was huge!
Thanks and thanks for leaving a comment. One of the great pluses of relic hunting is being in the outdoors. Seeing things like this big old turtle only adds to the enjoyment. Thanks again and good luck out there.
Love this video!!....That's how we do it in the creeks over here in South Alabama and sometimes we'll hit a hole like that. Stay in that creek!!...I'm promise you there'll be another hole or two like that somewhere
That's what we're hoping for. The video after this one is a week later. We did pretty good but no "mega hole" like this. We'll be back in it before too long though. Thanks for watching and for the compliment.
I believe this is my favorite of y'all's videos. Videography, music and cussin' made it genuine and down to earth.
Thanks Mike! It was a very special day too. It was our first big creek find with one point after another coming out of the same hole. We were pretty excited and it came through on the video.
Congratulations on that point wedge .....whooo...that stuff is fun..! Best of luck
Thanks Joseph. Days like this don't come around often. We ended up, after going back a week later, with 21 artifacts from underneath that stump. There is a better view of it in the video after this one. Good luck to yall too and Merry Christmas.
You guys are awesome. Every time you guys bring up a piece of stone that was worked by someone hundreds to thousands of years ago, I can't help picturing that person sitting and working that into a functional and deadly shape for a specific purpose...
Thank you so much! We have those same thoughts. I always wonder what they looked like, how old they were, man or woman and the list goes on and on. That's what makes this hobby so enjoyable.
Looks like stone
Great hunt guys! A pocket full of smokers, and good friends. Doesn't get any better than that! That turtle was awesome as well. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching and days like this are what it's all about. Good luck out there.
Just when you get discouraged. "WHAM"!!! here they come. l must have watched this video 50 times and it still tickles me to death.😂 hopefully your next hunt will be just as awsome.Im crossing my fingers for you guys. Absolutely beautiful video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michel. We too think this is one of the best videos we have all the way around. We have had several good hunts in this creek at the same catch and the one just below it after this one got blown out by high water. Our next video from the same creek will be out Tuesday morning and we had a great day. Thank you so much for your support and great comments. It's comments like these that keep us making videos. We love it when other folks appreciate what we do. GL&HH.
Awesome day you guys had! Love the points and the excitement!
Thanks and thanks for watching and for leaving a comment.
Really enjoy your guys' videos. The quality is good and you can feel the fun through the video. Best of luck this summer!
Thanks . We do have fun and always have. Thanks again and good luck out there.
Yall kicked that creeks Butt, lots of goodies, you almost fed that turtle lol, great show guys, thanks for sharing your day with us, Be Well
Thanks and thank you for watching. As you well know the creeks and fields win most of the time, occasionally giving up little morsels to keep us interested but every now and then a day like this comes along. Good luck out there.
Heartbreaker Relics GUYS what a day man I love watching your videos if you haven't subscribed to my channel it used to be point life diggers it is now SC HEAD HUNTER give it a view keep rocking bammmmmm baby
Thanks we really appreciate the comment and the compliment. I have been subscribed to your channel for quite a while now and I'm pretty sure Randy has too. Been enjoying your videos for a while but I got to hand it to yall. I don't know how yall dig in the heat like that. Kudos for that and keep it up. Yall find some really nice stuff. In that one video I think yall almost broke ole SC digger from digging with yall. He looked like he was sweating buckshot. Good luck out there and thanks again.
Boy I'm telling you I have got to get in these creeks around here. I've got permission to get back in to an old site that I've known of for years and have quite a few from there. It's got to major creeks that go right out into the Choctawhatchee Bay. You know what I'm only about 2 to 3 miles away from the site. From the main road both creeks come together I'd say 4 to 5 miles in, that makes the site lay right in between the two. As for the law's as long as your on private property and have permission it's good to go and everything is under lock and key. The people that have it now are my best friend. Any way that was one killer hunt guys and I hope to see another one soon. Your friend over here Fl. Mark Martin DeFuniak Springs Fl
Why am I subscribed to this rock hunting ? Because I friggin love it 😁✌️ good video.
Thanks!
What is all that blue rocks in that creek? Nice arrowheads
Thanks and thanks for watching and for the great question. The blue stuff is not rock but it's actually clay, blue clay.
I've watched this before, but I'm going to be doing some knapping today and I needed some inspiration. So many freakin' beautiful points! If I can knap any half as good as those two in the first twofer I'll be proud of them.
Also, HOLY CRAP, what on earth was that monster point at 17:48 even used to HUNT for? Mastodon? Seriously, it had to be on a spear or seriously heavy javalin, considering how much it must weigh! I can't imagine putting a giant like that on an atlatl point, and it's got to date back at least that far-- it'd weight the thing down like crazy.
Loved the turtle; alligator snappers can live as much as 180-200 years, and they get ENORMOUS. My brother lost the tip of his finger to a much, much smaller one when we were kids; they don't play around when they bite.
That ain’t heartbreaking it’s heartwarming. Thanks guys. Cb75
Thanks.
I love your respect for the wild creatures you find. God Bless you fellas.
Thanks and God Bless you!
best video to date! loved it
Thank you so much. We are really glad you enjoyed it. Good luck out there.
Those are awesome! Your faces were like merry Christmas, happy birthday, and you just won the lottery all rolled in to one day! The turtle footage reminded me of "messin' with Sasquatch...y'all should take some Jack's links with you next trip and let Chance hold the bag. 😉😊
lol That's a good idea. Yep, we were in shock really. We knew it was special but I don't think it really sunk in until the next day. Thanks for watching Julie and thanks for leaving a comment.
A very nice bunch of arrowheads and artifacts. That is a big old snappin turtle. A great hunt.
Thanks Tommy and thanks for watching. Yep this was the best day we have ever had. We went back in that hole yesterday and pulled out a few more artifacts. That old turtle has been around a long time. Again, thanks and good luck out there.
I want that blue jasper 7:25 ... I bet if the Native Americans had that stuff they’d made beautiful relics!
The blue is actually blue clay.
Say it isn’t so..... I have found just a very small amount of blue jasper here in Bama... the creeks around my house have grey, green, tan, brown and red primarily! I’ve got 1 creek that has produced enough manganese or uranium as impurity to create Blue insides with usually tan or pinkish red outside... but that was the best blue in a chert or jasper or flint stone I’ve seen! To bad it wasn’t stone!
Yep it's too bad. We could have sold a ton of it. I think that it may be what's called palygorskite clay (Mayan blue) but I'm no geologist so I can't say for sure. It's probably some kind of marine deposit clay. A lot of that stuff is green though. So all I really know is it's a beautiful clay.
So Johnny and his dad went hunting for rabbits, They got about 4 miles from their ancient camp and Johnnys dad asked his son, hey son do you have those bag of points. Johnny said i dropped them in the creek!. 8000 years later this happens
lol That's funny. They have washed off the ridges over the years and collect in these creeks. Thanks for the great comment.
Love your videos.. I live in Anchorage but when I go visit my mom in Oregon i go Arrowhead hunting it is such a great feeling when you find them ..can't wait to watch more of your videos. You all take care and good luck on future finds.
Thanks so much for the kind words. You are so right. There is a feeling, a certain satisfaction or high with every artifact you find. Thanks again and good luck and happy hunting.
Hey guys...how do I go about getting one of those shirts ur all wearing...
Thanks for your interest in our shirts. Send me a message on our FACEBOOK page with your email and the size and color you want. Instructions are on our FACEBOOK page so read it carefully because we are sold out of many colors and sizes.
I remember when my dad's friend showed him how to dig and scout for arrowheads about 45 years ago. My dads first digs that he brought home were crude but I was amazed. Next time he came back he had perfect ones and that's when I said I have to go. And now 45 years later with about 6 to 8,000 perfect points his friend said he wishes he had never shown my dad how to. Now every piece of land is posted and we can't go anywhere without permission and not many folks will let you so we just have up. I can tell you that just me and my father found alone found around 500 sites that have never been touched. We found a place where we were finding 40 to 50 points a day. One personal best day we found 83. We had just started digging that site when one morning we saw a tractor filling up the holes we dug. So we never went back and soon after we just gave it all up. I am so glad you guys post these videos. I miss going. There are only a few creeks here in SW Louisiana you can do like you guys do because the water is super muddy and deep
Wow, what a treat to watch those hunts. I was wondering where I dropped all those points. LOL Hard work and long hours pays off in this hobby. I hope to have a day like that sometime. Good luck in your next adventure.
Thanks Tim . You are right. You have to put in the time. This was one of those "once in a lifetime" days. I hope you have one soon. Good luck out there.
Spike
That ones beautiful perfect the e one on the other side colors see the blue
+Heartbreaker Relics Out of all the outstanding finds you had in this creek, the snapper was THEE BEST! You'll see a thousand more points at least but possibly, never another big boy with age like that snapper. What a set of ridges!! Can you imagine the changes he's made it through? How many hunters have been through in a near hundred years? Human and predator alike! ASTOUNDING, AWESOME FIND! You were TRULY Blessed in this creek. Maybe they should call it Blessed Creek, LOL. Thank You for sharing all this and your excitement!! I hope to never get tired of seeing these relics being found and the nature out there! Thank You for all you do, ALL OF YOU! EXCELLENT VIDEO!
Thank you Becky for the great comment. Yes, you are right about the big snapper. We will see a lot more artifacts in the remainder of our lives than we will big snappers like this one. We found a baby one in the "From Paleo To Woodland" video and it makes for great contrast. Hopefully he/she too will make it to be the size of this old turtle. Thanks again for your support and kind words.
A Native American's cache of Petrified wood.
Always amazed with the quality of your videos. The intro the wild life lessons, sharing the beautiful scenery. The beautiful points seems like a sweet perk. Your skills have improved since I first subbed.
Y'all will have to bring Kenneth out to this location yet this summer.
Thank you so much for the great comment and compliment. Kenneth has been on this location. This is the same creek as most of our creek videos from last year.
hey Spike y'all had one stellar day in the creek, great to see y'all recover so many wonderful artifacts, I wouldn't give up on the creek through the winter, that's some good hunting if all else works in favor, ya just need some neoprene waders from Walmart about $80. they're worth their weight in gold, happy hunting & best wishes in all you do
Thanks Brooksy. We went back today and finished digging the hole recovering 2 more points, 2 more scrapers and 2 more broke bases for a total of 21 total artifacts from this one little hole. There will be deer hunters in there over the winter but you can bet as soon as deer hunting season is over rock hunting season will begin. Thanks for stopping by and good luck out there my friend.
More then an 💯 years I'm almost positive!!!
Thanks for watching and for the comment. In any case the old boy has been around a while.
I have to ask you expert hunters...are arrowheads worth more when there's about 4 inches of a shaft on one...i found one today with about 4 inches of a stick tied to it...was found about a foot and a half in a clay like mud...i don't know what the material is that's holding it on...I'll try sending u a foto...
Please send a pic. Any organic material should have rotted away long ago.
What is the blue greenish material, almost looks like aqua marine or something similar.
The blue stuff is clay. We believe it to be Palygorskite clay but we are not geologists. lol
My brother lost a chunk off the tip of his finger to a snapper; it could've taken the whole finger if he'd been closer. That one y'all found? It could've had somebody's HAND. They don't play around, and they're reeeeeeally slow..... until suddenly they're not.
Exactly, he didn't get that big by being slow. If he's fast enough to catch a fish he's fast enough to catch a hand. Thanks for the great comment and GL&HH.
Y'all had what we call "ONE OF THEM DAYS " Been a long time since I had one . May of 2003 we had 10 + inches of rain . When the creek went down we went to a field where we would be lucky to find 3 or 4 each in a day . The creek had washed a lot of the plowed dirt away that day . I found 75 points and my buddy got 69 . Crazy day ! Back then I didn't carry a camera .
WOW! Yep. That's what dreams are made of. I couldn't imagine getting into something like that. Thanks for watching and good luck out there.
7 - 8 miles of walking to find 1 arrowhead, you know guys im tired of you stealing my techniques... lawsuits a coming! Fantastic point guys!!!!!!
lol We thought that's the way it had to be done! Thanks for the great comment.
Nice !!! Thank You for the awesome videos and for showing everything,,, Truly Amazing ,,, I would so love it if could please ,,, `` Name and or Label and or Identify your Relics in your ``Relic / Artifact / Glory to GOD Thank You JESUS `` End Shots of all your finds,,, You All Know so much than I do,,, [ I get excited when you pull the broken stuff,,, Such Great History,,, ] Thanks again for keeping up the `` Good Work `` and for sharing it with us,,, I get the fever every time I watch your Adventures !!! =)
Thanks for another great comment. We don't name most of our points or artifacts because honestly we simply don't know what most of them are. Rather than give wrong information we choose not to give any. We do from time to time get help identifying some of them from viewers. Thanks again.
I'm from Arkansas !!! why do you Guy's want the wood !!! 😕
It's petrified wood. It is not really easy to find. This creek however is loaded with it. We like it because it is very old and we like everything old. Thanks for watching and for the question.
