      I like Nissin for its simplicity and style. You might like it for your casual shooting needs, but for your weddings you are probably using the best available on the market that allows you to have on camera flash while being able to control off camera flashes simultaneously!

    YEEEESSSS OMG!!! The issue you were talking about with the manual flash slowing down your shutter. I HATE IT SO MUCH!! I always put my Fuji's on high shutter speed whenever I know I'm going to use OCF because I know it's going to slow down. SOMEONE FIX THIS PLEASE!!! Thanks so much for sharing that workaround actually. I'm about to try it out at my wedding tomorrow. Maybe I'll start using OCF more often now due to that. SOLID video.

    • @Reggiebphoto
      @Reggiebphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John Branch IV Photography It works but it should’nt be required. Manual ocf should be manual ocf and full burst rate

      I just started using off camera flash (Godox ad400) with my Fuji and noticed this, but shooting single shots in studio, I didn’t realize how hindering this can be to those wanting to shoot faster. I agree that this should be resolved, but for now I’m happy to see there is a work around.

    Thank you for addressing this issue that so many TH-cam personalities either ignore or don’t understand. Well done!

    • @Reggiebphoto
      @Reggiebphoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which issue?

    • @misterfilmguy
      @misterfilmguy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Reggiebphoto The manual flash issue. Sorry, I should have clarified that. I just got my first V1 and Xpro trigger and tried to set it up using the manual mode like you did and could not figure out why I couldn’t get it out of TTL on the in-camera menu. The TTL-Lock tip is very helpful. I’ve read that a firmware update might have changed this, but the firmware update process seems frustrating at best so I’m just going with your method for now.

    I really miss the bounce card that is standard on the V860ii models and pretty much all other flash models. Very useful when you don’t want to mess with a flash bender type set up. The only real reason to upgrade to this model is the button locking mechanism instead of the twist on lock.

    • @Reggiebphoto
      @Reggiebphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      a bounce card has no surface area difference than direct flash tho. if there is a ceiling above i just bounce off the ceiling.

    • @jasonmalwitz8044
      @jasonmalwitz8044 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reggie Ballesteros A bounce card allows you to avoid the look of direct flash by pointing the flash head up toward the ceiling but still redirecting a small amount of light forward. No need for a bulky somewhat obtrusive flash bender for most situations.

    A little Cheap L bracket is all I need to switch it to portrait mode and still have TTL, works superbly for me at any ISO nailed shot pretty much every time auto WB matches any custom white balance no matter even if I use those incident reading lens caps direct at flash or reflected from a white card combined. This am happy on my X-t30. TTL is faultless for me.

    EC200, Bare Bulb on camera with AD-S2 standard Reflector for custom cut gels. Ha,ha truly amazing. If you set everything in Auto Program n TTL the only variable to set manually is ISO from there you could choose Aperture priority but not absolutely necessary in most cases. The AD-S17 Globe is good if you have nothing to bounce of but could struggle outdoor midday n is difficult to gel bulb n fit attachments. The h200r is a step down but still great n superior to fresnel even with mag mods, no matter though not quit as powerful, but hey AD200pro on camera flash who needs fresnel, right 😂

    Hi Reggie... appreciate the sharing of these interesting findings. I decided a long time ago to not do wedding photography so I'm missing some real world knowledge - and curious about the ( 11:04 ) full 11 frames per sec shooting in a wedding setting... is that even allowed ? I would have thought that it would be prohibited due to it possibly distracting (and dazzling) the subjects and disrupting the event. The question should not take anything away from the usefulness of your information though... thoroughly useful in a studio model shoot. Thanks for sharing !

Today (Jan 2024) , the v350 is $159, and the V1 is $200. I’m confused because I’m not sure if that extraI'm $40 will give me some room for growth and overall a better flash. I love the portability aspect of the v350, but not sure what is the best option for me. What you or the people following the channel recomends?

    Hi! Been doing wedding photography for 5 years now and been sticking to only using flash during the dance section... HOWEVER I've had some challenging weddings lately and want to incorporate more flash when light is a struggle. I find it difficult using manual though. Do you have a video about the settings and set up you use during a wedding?

      K. Adam Christensen I don’t use trigger during weddings. I use on camera masters. And I tried using a canon 860ii on camera, and it won’t let you change the master on camera flashes power because it doesn’t have access tk the ttl Pins (I tried it with my friends 860ii canon version)
