There are some very technical rock faces and bowling ball size boulders throughout, plus it cn be quite slippery from creeks draining onto the trail.. This video was the only time I made it up without dumping the bike. Every other times has resulted in a drop, including some fairly serious damage. I think the 1290 would be a bit big to go up but if you took lots of breaks and took your time its possible.
Hey man, do you think a motorcross bike would make it up this trail? Or do you definitely need a dual sport to make it up? I live near by and want to ride this trail.
You can definetley make it on a motocross bike, just make sure you have a good skidplate and a larger rear sprocket will help. It is mostly a rocky trail with a few obstacles that can throw you off your seat. Good luck!
Man, you have some serious skill. I just tried this trail on a wr250r, bone stock except with a skidplate and handguards. Made it about halfway before deciding to turn around due to exhaustion.. what PSI were you running here? It looks like you're just gliding over those chunky boulders, they were throwing me around like crazy and I could barely control the bike. Bucking bronco the whole way up ..

I haven't been there in 5 years so it may have changed. Moved somewhere where riding is plentiful.

ive been riding for a year now and i can make it up on a 2014 yz-250f 4-stroke

havent been up there in a few weeks, snow will be heavy. might be going to the lower part this weekend. i can shoot some more videos of the area

about 14 front, 12 rear, try standing as much as possible. itll help with the rocky stuff.
