Fun to see you having the same reaction to the conversion features that I did. Same deal on the disintegrating headphones! Definitely a time travel moment. I bought a completely rusty 2000 Glaval conversion with a bad transmission identical to yours last year. Then I bought a rust-free 2000 wheelchair van with lowered floor and moved the high top to that. In the process of doing the camper conversion right now. Having that high top really changes things. Combined with the lowered floor there is 67" of clear height inside in front of the rear axle. Good luck with your project and look forward to seeing your finished product.
