Personally I imagine that the half-ilithid stuff does some kind of illusion magic or something with the mind's of strangers. Explains why people thing you look handsome and not like a raisin with a mustache.
Btw, just FYI: during companion quests, in specific areas, they might have something to say, besides over the head banter, just like other party members, even tho there are no exclamation marks at all. Sometimes even after some specific interactions with specific objects/NPCs.
Every time I've ever attempted the fireworks shop, poor Avery threw an Alchemist's Fire on the first floor and promptly blew himself and all those juicy fireworks to bits. Mapo gets all the luck!
I hadn't run into the Hag Survivors when I started looking for Vanra, so when Grisly started asking me to murder people and talking about the blood of the innocent, my immediate thought was "really, Orin? We're still doing this?" Needless to say, when she turned into Ethel, a character I had _killed,_ it knocked me over for a bit, lol
Lae'zel's Action Surge into 2 ranged attacks with disadvantage hurt a bit^^. Better to open with disarm/distract, then reposition out of melee if you really want to shoot, but fighter is amazing at just keeping whacking. Very solid plays, nonetheless and of course the wisdom of the Chaos Gnome prevails! Have a nice Christmas!
Ah, I hate how the disguised characters don't have their actual stuff disguised in the examine page. It really ruins the surprise and spoils the story sometimes, like with Ketheric's invulnerability being tied to the Nightsong.
Ngl, on 1st run, not only I didn't inspect "the captain first", I didn't even find hag survivors first. So, when I was offered 3k gold, and I was RPing a literal cynical assassin, with all the backstory of questionable morals and getting the assassin job done, I was ecstatic, like "yes, perfect for my role". I didn't even matter if things about Lora imagining Vanra were true or not, although it sounded pretty damn convincing to me. I go straight to Lora, close the door, sneak attack her for lethal damage, job done. Imagine my surprise when captain lols at me and transforms into a hag (btw, yeah, my first thought was "what, no payment, rly?"). I chase down the hag to the basement, but I know nothing about Hag's Bane, hag survivors, mushrooms and them not healing if on fire, nothing. On top of that, Ethel says that she dies child dies, which I have no reason not to believe. However, during the mechanically tought fight (again, just because no knowledge prior to the fight), I make an educated guess that "ok, but I'm not going to kill you, I'll mushrooms that revive you, because I examined them by now, and then I'm going to knock you out and cut you open". And to my surprise it worked, and it is one of the ways to save Vanra without hag's bane, one of the cases in which non-lethal works, but you have to make a guess (she doesn't have temporarily hostile, so no meta would inform you about potential decisions). After I cut Vanra out, she runs with "mommy mommy" to that house, in which only blood stain on the floor after her mother, and orphan Vanra weeps "mommy mommy" alone in that house. Completely different experience from this episode, like 90% different, since you still fight the hag. And yeah, after I found hag survivors, basically said "she is already dead, so...", and to my surprise found all the info about hag's bane, mushrooms and so on.
Well done, Mapo! I actually missed Ethel's return on my first playthrough -- missed a lot of things in Act 3, actually, since I was playing co-op and my partner was extremely concerned about the urgency of getting the netherstones. It's great to see content for the first time along with you!
Bro I know this isn't related to this video but just wanted to let you know that your Who's behind me?! In SH Downpour is my husband and I's new favorite inside joke. Just finished that playlist today.

or just people of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate in particular, find black vein-y face really hot (Halsin for sure does)
Makes sense to me. Considering the fact "Us" appears to be a cat (to everyone besides the player), your theory isn't far-fetched at all.

I wish you a merry Christmas, Mapocolops! 🎄

15:00 Mapo attacking that flute like a slice of watermelon.
I have really enjoyed watching this, thank you for taking the time and all your effort

I think it would've worked if she didn't had "Level 11 Hag"
"That's not a hat, Damn it." One of my favorite recurring phrases

Yeah, i stopped examining people unless i am fighting them

Finally turned back on Monk Passive dmg buff, miracle!
how about you play fallout 3 or start elder scrolls next. You should alternate between old and new games, plenty more zelda out there.
I alternate between the games I actually feel like playing
