Hi Projectidiot, Thanks for the kind words. My inspirations came from Rudy Wiedoeft, Kenneth Douse and Al Gallodoro. Unfortunately all 3 of these sax phenoms are forgotten today. They were the masters of the art of multiple tonguing. I listened to their recordings and studied intensively with Gallodoro at the end of his life. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! The Ku should be as strong as the Tu.
Thanks! You have such an open sound... I can't stop watching your videos. You should make more videos with shorter titles that people are likely to search for (like, "Saxophone Double Tonging." You'd be surprised on how many awful videos that pop up from searching that), so that people will find them and then browse your videos and find all of these videos, spreading awareness of these amazing players you speak of!
Beautiful job, Chad. Can't wait to hear you do it on C Melody.
Hey! Can you give advice on how you got so good at double tonging? Do you have tips on how to get the "ka" sound more responsive?

My concept of sound has been also been that of the human voice and violin. Projection only occurs with resonance.
Glad to see there are Wiedoeft fans out there!
