I fitted these a couple of weeks ago on my 3.6m Alu rib - I wish I'd bought them the first time but didn't know about them... they're the best I've seen. Great customer service too - v happy
The only thing I did differently to you when I fit mine was I fit the brackets as high as I could on the transom... there's something in the instructions that says 'fit 6-8 inches from the bottom of the boat to the bottom of the bracket' but I don't suppose it matters too much. If you fit the brackets high you can still operate them on the first pin... such is the long length and adjustability of these suckers...
I as well wish I bought them first time round 😂 Definitely what you need on a bigger sib! I think you’re meant to do the wheels above the line on the bottom of the transom normally. I obviously had to fill in some holes! But yeah happy so far
You’re welcome Steven! I appreciate the support! The wheels have held up brilliantly! - being cheeky, if you do buy them, theres an affiliate link in the description which gives me a kick back 😎 would appreciate it if you used the link! Cheers and have a good one
Hello @gps571! I appreciate it! These are indeed detachable. Theres a big pin going through the middle which you can pull out to release the wheels! They have 2 up positions that they can be in too!
Hello mate how you doing. I’ve just taken a look and they are similar to ones i’ve had before but just a single wheel. I found that the spring mechanism area on the wheels would bend very easily & the bracket that comes with that doesn’t look the strongest either
@@FishingwithMattUK I see, thank you for your response. I've noticed on Seamax website, you can buy a kit for double wheels. It should be much easier to haul fully loaded boat on soft sand
Hi Matt, cheers for this video. This will help me a lot when these (Seamax Deluxe Boat Launching Wheel System, Black Military Edition) get delivered from the USA... Can't wait and as you mentioned, the crappy ones you took off is what I am loathing at the moment. Absolute crap through dry sand... Cheers again 😀👍
Great constructive review of your setup-i have similar setup-i bent brackets on mine-user error and will be upgrading to seamax-also was wondering why sometimes a few pulls to get tohatsu going but you explained issue well-best wishes to you and your family
Hello mate thanks alot for the comment & support - I really appreciate it! 😎 The seamax deluxe wheels are very sturdy, however the pin used to adjust where you want them is a weakness in the design. On one of the wheels the pin has fallen out so the wheel cant be fixed in place. I’ve messaged seamax & am awaiting som replacements I hope! & yes, the dealership said you need a pull or 2 to charge up the ECU as its batteryless 😎
Hello mate, i’ve had no problems at all with it. As shown in the video I put a wooden dowel in the transom first to fill the majority of the hole then capped the ends with the marine weld. On the wheel side its covered and the inside still looks good to me 😎
@@FishingwithMattUK done this already mate, I filled 8holes, 7 took hold lovely and one failed. It swelled both sides and pushed out. Didn’t seem to harden either they all feel soft. Done this around a week ago. Still waiting for my wheels to arrive.
Good video Matt. How are you getting on with the transom wheels, and do you still recommend them. Im thinking about getting a Honwave T40 so im looking for a good pair o transom wheels. Someone also recommended the Trem transom wheels. Really enjoyed watching and subbed you. Thanks Steve 👍
Steve I thoroughly appreciate you watching the vid and enjoying it & subbing too! I need to get a follow up vid out to be honest! But yes I do recommend the wheels still. I wouldnt go with any other knock off ones like this - They’re expensive for a reason!
@stevesdaysoff2759 it depends what position you have them in. If you have them in the highest notch and probably 2 or 3 pins down then you don’t lose any manoeuvrability of atleast a tohatsu engine
Hello mate hows it going. It depends on what size boat you have & how much weight you have on the boat & also how hard or soft the sand is. I certainly wouldn’t want to drag my 3.7m boat fully loaded up or down a soft sand beach or pea shingle/stoney beach. I’m sure you’d be fine if you have a smaller boat but these wheels are definitely the best on the market
@@FishingwithMattUK i get your point they are strong and better metal but isn't possible to make a home made solution for the newbies that are not interested in paying 200 pounds for so wheels?
You could definitely do it but why bother? With the amount of time, effort, material cost & working cost put into them you’d most likely make an inferior product & wouldn’t get a warranty either! These wheels are ideal for people with heavy setups 🙂
Glad you like them mate - ya can't fully appreciate them until you've seen and handled them in the flesh. Miles beyond competition
Nice one Jason mate 👊 I am properly using them tonight so will see how it goes 😎
Great Video Matt, good job done too.
Thanks Diane 😁😁😁

Great video brother. Always so informative and very well done bro 👊🏻
Cheers Paul I appreciate it mate 👊👊😎 I try and keep the vids concise and on track
Thank's for the video. Looks like I'll be replacing my crappy honwave transom wheels.

Ur welcome rich 👊 vids like these will come in handy for a good amount of people
Great video thankyou...are they detachable?

What you think about inkawey double launching wheels ? Its like double wheel on each side, should be better for towing through sand

Happy days mate! I bent 2 pairs of brackets for those old ones. I should’ve sent them back but oh well! Enjoy the seamax ones mate 😎 absolute beauties

Nice. How has the jb marine weld held up?

Interesting, Were you in humid or wet conditions?
No I’ve actually got it set up indoors in spare room 😂
Interesting 🤔
I used flex paste or flex seal marine to secure brackets, never had any water leak issues
Happy days mate, i’m guessing you must be american? Not sure if we get flex paste over this side of the pond

With the transom wheels fitted do you get any restriction turning the outboard motor.

So did you used them already?
Im looking to change mine, as got same sh.t small brackets as was yours.
Can i get a link where you bought from?
Hello mate, ive used them a few times and they have been great! I bought mine off amazon. amzn.to/3rGGgs0
Another qs pls, how these wheels perform in sand with motor on? Is it difficult to pull?
Hello mate hows it going. It depends on what size boat you have & how much weight you have on the boat & also how hard or soft the sand is.

😂😂 I like that siuuuuuu
Thankyou
Any time 👊
you did not show how it looks inside
Hello mate, what do you mean by looks inside? If you have any questions about them then give me a message!
@@FishingwithMattUK What I mean - I wanted to see how transom with new bolts/hardware look from inside the boat.
