@@boatingintheuk Did you ever have any issues with the nuts rubbing against the air deck? I've just installed these on my Volante, but when the floor is in it'll be pressed right up against the bolts if that makes sense. Cheers.
Hi Tony, they are really good. Just got back from 10 days in Fowey and I used them every time we went out. Launching on a slipway, then beaching and relaunching on a mixture of hard sand, gravel and some relatively big pebbles. Struggled on some very soft sand, but other than that they worked great.
I have had a few niggles with the SS locking pins but to be fair Chas Newens sorted it out very quickly. I've done a full review on here:- www.rib.net/forum/f50/beachmaster-type-wheel-users-question-89002.html
The old transom wheels I had didn't have a bearing. The stainless steel stub axle ran in a plastic sleeve, but I could still move the sib and 20hp OB relatively easily.
Hi Mathew, I use both. If I go out for the day, either Anglesey or the Lakes I tend to blow and go. If I'm on holiday for any length of time I will take the trailer with me.
@boatingintheuk how do you store your 4 stroke if you wasn't to take trailer? I've got a yamaha F20 but the reason I got a trailer was because I was always told not to lie them down
@@mathewwinter1662 Whoever told you that doesn't know much about F20 efi 4 stroke outboards. You can transport your F20 either laying it down on the tiller arm side or on the two lugs that are in the back of your OB just below the cowl. It will be in your owners manual.

@@jimbobnooch Hi Jimbob. No, my airdeck sits at least 10-15mm away from the transom so the bolt heads don't rub.

You can move it easily with the heavy 20hp installed. Ball bearing works well.
My transom wheels have no ball bearing, and I can hardly pull 6hp
