The coolest thing about wave for me is how the melody ebbs and flows like a real wave. You can feel it building and building and then it crashes, and then the music gets quieter and more mellow as the wave recedes back out into the ocean. And then it does it again! Genius! Who thinks of stuff like that?

"Hakuna Matata" is a Swahili phrase that means "no worries (for the rest of your days)"... most of us likely learned that from The Lion King.
ATEEZ brought the phrase into 'WAVE' for the same meaning; the lyrics are all about putting worries aside and riding out each wave that comes our way, even if it's rough waters.
If you look, the ending lyrics even include "don't worry (about it)" in Korean -- 걱정하지 마 (sounds kind of like "gokjong-haji-ma")
There was a misinformed viewer in your livestream who said : "hongjoongs little brother just debuted in BOYNEXTDOOR". (They did later say they may be wrong, couldn't confirm.)
We have enough information about ATEEZ siblings to know Captain (Hongjoong) has no younger siblings, only an older brother (whose name & image were made public).
There's a BND kid who resembles HJ, but they aren't siblings. No ATEEZ sibling is in BND. It's similar to how Sumin (Xikers) bears a remarkable resemblance to Mingi.
I love to see you exploring more ATEEZ. These guys are my ult group for a reason. Even as I keep exploring more K-content, nothing shakes them from my top spot.

im binge watching your ATEEZ playlist and i gotta say, i love your reactions and input, i love the way you you actually not just react and call it a day but genuinely REACT to everything, i'm not sure if you take requests but i would love if you watched their turbulence & The real mv! you will love the camera work!
Wave's whole thing is that it's an Illusion, and actually the duel title track from that album Illusion leads right into this video.
Part of what happens in the dystopian world they visit where a number of videos take place, is that there's a yellow gas on the outskirts of town that cause hallucinations, especially concentrated in these caves, which cause you to see ideal things, like the things and world you want. So for Ateez, who had been threatened to be separated, and go on a journey to try and find their own place just for them (that doesn't work out), their treasure- that doesn't really work out for them, but they end up having this vision in Wave (and Eternal Sunshine is similar) that is life they wish it could be. That's why you see them all opening their eyes and waking up into this collective dream space.
you were right with the voice being Mingi, and pretty boy is Seonghwa (his voice is actually insane, especially the range, like when you get around to Utopia that's him on the crazy note).
Contacts yes, most of them have naturally brown eyes, to different degrees, that and the hair colors are the only things about them that are fake though, the rest is just born that way somehow
Fishy Fishy like on the second verse is Hongjoong! Typically he and Mingi are the only rappers, Seonghwa has been added but it's only occasional, they need his versatility on vocals too much. They follow the Big Bang outline that everyone does nowadays, with at least one lower toned and more aggressive rapper (Mingi) and a higher pitched and more melodic rapper (Seonghwa), and then others may fit in between. The fishy fishy line is one of my dad's favorites too it's just great. Hongjoong's flow is just amazing, he flips it up so often, like Halazia and Deja Vu he's got those softer flowing ones, then The Leaders is so aggressive, or in To The Beat, oh my god his rap in To The Beat he goes for everyone's throats. Or on the newest album, the B side Wake up, he's actually so fast that if it was one second longer his 8 sec constant would be in the top 10 of kpop, above Changbin and right barely below Namjoon. Even including the part where he slows all the way down to change it up, it's way up there but without it he's at almost 10 syllables per second and (pretty sure) the top 10 fastest in kpop. Hongjoong is tiny but damn is he feisity, he has a lot of power saved up in him.
(also idk why someone in chat is lying to promote a big 4 group, he doesn't have a younger brother, only his older brother Beomjoong, and he's a dancer)
Something I've always questioned, a detail of the video, is how you don't see Wooyoung wake up like the others. he's often doing something different or weird in videos, so it's probably something storyline related but I've always found it interesting. And my favorite little detail is near the end when they're playing in the skate park there's this one shot of Yunho just rolling down the ramp somehow for some reason
But yeah, Wave is such a fun summer Bop, and it's used by a lot of Korean sports teams during games, both on the broadcast and in person, because of the we keep going no mater what we face lyrics. And it was their first music show win! (that is such a fun encore, like they're all sobbing while singing and then there's Mingi bouncing around just happy, like every emotional moment they have tbh I love him)
Wave is such a fun summer bop and will always one of ATEEZ’s top 10 best songs.
I love how much you’re starting to love ATEEZ. From a directors standpoint of course you want to analyze the videos but I also think you’re doing ATEEZ a bit more now because you’re a little smitten 😉 it’s ok. They snuck up on all of this like this. In the words of ATEEZ “it’s destiny” 😂
I do believe Mingi is officially your first kpop bias! It’s exactly how it sounds..he’s the one you’re drawn to the most and look forward to seeing or hearing in/on songs/videos. Even though I adore all kinds of music, there are those few artists that somehow click into an emotional and physical groove that no one else can touch, and there's no way to articulate why their alchemy is so strong. Ateez is that group for me. Where BTS taps into all my little self-reflective and philosophical nooks and crannies (their music always occupies a slice of my headspace, lol), Ateez gives me a more visceral, adrenal-fueled, can't-keep-me-down head rush kind of vibe. I feel instantly energized when I listen to them.
It may sound corny, but Kpop in general has honestly elevated my life. As an older fan I never expected to feel this kind of connection to music, and it's been such a joyful experience to share it with other like-minded souls. 🥰

But thought I’d mention, if you didn’t notice yet, that Wave is one of the Melodie’s you can hear in some of their other songs. The same with Treasure and Fever. It these songs connect their albums and it just beautiful to me. 🥰
