Very much underrated player after 97/98 he was not in team due to controversy in politics...his 200 against WI was very much appreciated innings in 97....he was trolled a several times for his attitude and participation in politics...

Between 1990-95 India team played 15 to 20 ODI's and maybe 10 to 15 test matches due to some players even not played 100 ODI's . That time FTP is not maintained properly by ICC . After 1996 world cup everything changed. Now average players also getting more caps bcoz of busy schedule . At age 31 Navoj Singh Siddhu was playing under 100th match even debuting in 1987 world cup.

Sidhu was technically solid player and hence an opener. His avg in both forms is over 40 which is really good those days then you had top quality pace bowlers and no Bangladesh and a strong Zimbabwe. But he was slow runner and lazy fielder.
