The Nightmare bundle has terrible value. Here they sell for more than double the price than normal bundles. So you’d be better off buying two of those if this is also the case where you live.
The videos on this channel all sound like a combination of my mum and the HR department at work, trying to tell me about MTG

Honestly when i saw the nightmare box i was like, "Oh thats the thing thats going to be price gouged when it comes out."
Buying no boxes this set, just singles. Too many cards that would just clash stylistically with my decks and collection.
Also... It's less than 2 months since Bloomburrow. I'd like to catch my breath for a second.
I skipped Bloomburrow for this one, but I share your sentiment.
I'm just doing prerelease and trying to trade for the 2 cards i actually want from duskmorn if i dont pull them... But im primarily a commander player lol.
Skipping this set, haven’t even seen a single I was interested in yet let alone buying any decks or boxes.
We're not even a 1/3 of the way through spoilers.
I just grabbed one play and one collector booster, normally i wouldnt bother with the collector but Kaito and Wanderer are some of my favorite characters

I'm pretty excited about the theme of this set, but I don't think I am going to buy anything other than a play booster box and maybe one of the commander decks. Those bundles just are not fun anymore.

I loved the noir flavour of MKM and the investigate was interesting (needed something work tho), but it became a bit too much with everyone having fedoras and such.
Returning to Magic after about 20 years. No idea if I really play it again, but think this is a great set and I love the horror vibes. Ordered a Play Booster Display Box and IF I pull something interesting out I am most probably going for a Nightmare or a Collector's box next and decide after. If I am not satisfied I will most probably sell the rares as singles and that was that.
Ima get the nightmare bundle and thats it. Only so much money to spend on Magic all year.

I usually buy the precons and a booster box the past few sets. This one I think I'm just gonna do a booster box and do 3 or 4 prerelease events.
I'm getting the nightmare bundle because I like the esthetic of this set. As for the cards I want to play. I will either buy singles or proxies.
I think MKM has a lot of fun and playable rares / mythics, even though some of the major set themes were weak. The Thunder Junction comparison feels closer to accurate for Duskmourn. If it ends up being more mechanically relevant than Bloomburrow, I wouldn't count it out for being the best set of the year.
I gotta push back on the 4 commander deck sets are preferable take.

Even if they did one good and one skip. That's still cheaper than buying 2 more decks that I don't really care about.

Do people consider buying a board game or card game like star realms or radlands instead? or even making custom draft cubes? a lot of fun time you can have, if you are not into commander
Play boosters straight up suck. Collector boosters are overpriced crap. Just buy singles after a few sets when prices have tanked.
I think 80/90 usd is crazy for what you get in the fat packs now
Im still shocked when people are surprised they make cards around their most popular format. Like, hello, why wouldn't they wanna make a bunch of money? Lol not saying i endorse them leaning into it 100% though.
I think outlaws was a much better set than bloomdurrow.... and I hope duskmourn is awesome

I’m sticking with singles. In 3 months the price will drop. Look at Murders, Outlaws, and bloomburrow is next.

I pre-orderd the commander decks, 4 x the nightmare bundle and 1 of the bundle boxes. And I will never buy Playboosters, single or as a Display. Just a crappy product all around.
I ordered 7 of the Nightmare Bundles, 6 to tuck away and one tr probably open. I like the design of the box and I am curious to see if the promos will hold any kind of value^^
I also bought into Karlov Manor when it crashed, I got a case of it for 494.94 € (82,49 € per Box)... I just couldn't say no at that price^^
commander is the only decent format, so very happy to see it get more traction.
