The Bouncing Souls are (and always have been) one of the preeminent rock bands in the entire music scene. The sincerity, authenticity, and warmth of so many of their songs is simply unmatched by most artists.
As a born cynic and now approaching 40 i want so bad to shit on The Bouncing Souls but i just am unable to muster any criticism. I fucking love these guys and have grown up with them and matured with them. Great band and great message.
Fecal Thunder I totally agree, im 24 and this band has stuck with me the most even from highschool. Its impossible to dislike them, they just make me so damn happy, so positive.
I asked people for songs about pizza, and someone linked me to this. Great song. Liked it the first time I heard it, which is right now. Great alt-rock. For some reason, they reminded me just slightly of Billy Bragg, or other 90s alt rock.
"Tony's making slice pies for the lunch rush, stirring the sauce, pounding out the dough. His brother left town with his girl, She ain't his girl no more." That's always the worst fucking part, having to suck it up, go into work the next day, and function like nothing ever happened.
ya i been there bro. oddly enough, when i lost my fiance, going to my new job and stocking shelves, the mindlessness of it let me sorta get my head together and come to terms. weird psychology man
@deathcoop lol I'm 20 and wish I discovered bouncing souls back then, that was around the time I was making the change from nu-metal/modern rock to punk...
@deathcoop i disagree man, im 26 and pretty much dont listen to any of that new shit out there... most of my cd's are rotated through the cds i listened to back when i was in high school. I love this music still.
The 2 comments below are disturbing . Honestly is obviously something that people avoid and are afraid of. I applaud you seeing through your ignorance but why the fuck would you ever admit you want to shit on the bouncing souls ...
The Bouncing Souls - 1988 Weezer- 1992 Yeah, I'm sure they tried to copy Weezer...Then, when Weezer came out, they thought, "Wow, these guys rule, let's copy that shit!" Cause the rest of their music sounds soooo much like Weezer....

One of my most favorite songs by one of my most favorite bands ever. I've sung this song to my daughter as a lullaby.
I used to sing 'lean on sheena' to my son 10 years ago too ❤
awesome lyric....
"May all these walls we've made, in our wasted years and days, not stand in our way, that we may feel the winds of change"
This song got me through some tough times. I listen to it when times are good also! It's my all time favorite.
It reminds me so much of good times that I want to die when I listen to it
The magic of the Souls- Lift you up when shit gets rough, and make the good times that much sweeter.

Yeah, the usual minimum-wage grind has a way of making you go numb. It made me way too boring though.
This albums good but this song sounds like a gayer version of Weezer
The Bouncing Souls - 1988
Weezer- 1992
