    Releases in a layout position on the uneven bars have grown in popularity in recent years.
    The most prominent of the last quad was, without a doubt, the Nabieva - but we are now seeing numerous variations of this element.
    From the Derwael II to the Laid-Out Shang, it might be time for the "Stalder Nabieva" to enter the Code.

    In case you’re wondering: D + E (like Pak Salto + Van Leeuwen) will only receive 0.1 CV in the 2022-24 Code.

      They really need to lift the E-rating cap on bar transitions. Some of the more difficult ones will never be seen again because they aren't rewarded for the risk. That alone would encourage more diversity in bar routines.

    It would be very interesting if she performs floor like this: start with a Jones, then full-twisting double tuck, then double tucked Arabian, and end with double tuck.

    • @cocoroni1031

      She did double layout in her second pass. Would be good for her to do Arabian in her third pass.

      And with Alicia and Chellsie after the helm? They are sure to thrive in a healthy and inspiring environment. Chellsie brings so much to the table, not only with her experience, but also a high ranking judge/official ! And Alicia .. I can't say enough. She is an amazing person, a fantastic trainer and this combo is sure to just keep USAG at the top. People saying they "lost" the gold without Simone really need to think about the shock they faced at the games, and how quickly they pulled together and WON the silver despite all the turmoil they were going through. NO WARNING! Shows how tough they truly are 💪💪

      Ps.... Simone IS in the gym training. She does not want to go out like that, and I believe she will be back for one last hoorah! The GOAT simply doesn't want that being her last memory embedded in the minds of fans.

      @lydiabuercklin4646 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      probably not for another couple of years or more. It would take an INSANE amount of power from a swing to execute it properly or even just to the point of getting it named. I really hope they give it a G rating when it does enter the code, because there's no root helping the gymnast build momentum.

    • @robbywinslow8948

  • @onetwocue
    @onetwocue 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So...why arent there any releases on the lower bar?

    • @table4glasses
      @table4glasses 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because it's too low! If you look closely at the moment after they catch the bar, you'll see that there's a ton of downward momentum generated from the body following the circular swing of the release. Now, think of a transition down from the high bar to the low bar, and how the gymnast has to pike her hips and shoot her feet through in order for her feet not to hit the ground. Combine the two, and you can see how it would be incredibly difficult to try to do that while you're dealing with the massive momentum of a release move. Not to mention, dangerous! Making a mistake and hitting feet first with that much momentum on straight legs would probably absolutely shatter their knees and/or toes.

    • @onetwocue
      @onetwocue 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@table4glasses could you get more points for it though? Like if you did a khorkina on the lower bar would it be worth the same if you did it on the higher bar?

      It’s “US season” right now, with Classics, Championships & World Trials (from July to September) so I think she’ll have to wait until Worlds or PamAms (both happening in October)

    • @jojox9791
      @jojox9791 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      She will have to have it prepared and test it out for Champs or world trials. We see lots of "training" videos that never amount to actual skills being performed in comps. But one can hope!!
