My favorites are 1. Myzdrikova 2. Miyakawa So special, I absolutely love both combos. If only today’s routines were more unique. At the European Championships and the US Championships 2022 so many passes on floor looked (almost) the same. :/
Still love Omelianchik's triple full punch front from 1987...Zmeskals triple whip double tuck and of course Atlers Double layout-punch front -double stag leap!!!!!
I00.11: What is her name? Not only do I love it but I also think it’s so clever put together: Double layout - punch front - stag jump / some kind of leap I don’t know the name of it - but then immediately followed by some dance which removes possible deductions for taking a step
You guys should have put Aly Raisman's huge opening tumbling pass at the beginning of everyone of her floor routines, it's absolutely amazing what she is able to pack into this first pass and that's not even counting her other 3 or 4 passes.
More the body position. In a whip you use your backwards momentum and "whip" your body around. In a layout you use the ground and your legs to get more height, and keep a layed out position. Often whips have an arch where layouts shouldn't.
IMHO there should be zero connection bonus for connecting to an A element (especially an A dance element). This would eliminate some of the "junk" connections and truly reward some of the great ones (like that amazing front full into double front)...
A whip isn't straight, more a back arch then piked down, and doesn't go high up in the air, so it creates acceleration in the tumbling. A layout is a flip with complete straight body (knees, hips and back), it's supposed to show significant air time and to go high (it's the base for double flips or for skills like triple twist...).
I could watch Simone tumble all day. Very good form (Some flexed feet and toe crossing but those are small deductions) Her height was unparalleled. It's why I get so annoyed with people praising Jade Carey. That girl is a chucker and people need to stop praising her tumbling.
I never got over Anna's Triple Twist + Back Tuck. I NEED MORE
All those 2012 passes where there was a pass, stop, standing back tuck just made me cringe so much
I remember Romanian athletes like Iordache, Ponor and Izbasa did that in 2012
Miyakawa 's execution is so precise and beautiful!
That biles + front layout is insane
I will never get over how criminally underrated and underscored Myzdrikova’s routines were. FIG must pay for their crimes just for that alone
I always enjoyed Pavlova's ending front layout stepout. It was so pretty
My favorites are
1. Myzdrikova
2. Miyakawa

Agreed! I really appreciated Naomi Visser and Angela Andreoli adding something a bit different.
OMG I LOVE the triple twist to back tuck!!!!
The narrator voice is so soothing. Love your videos! Best gymnastics channel.
Triple twists are such a feast for the eyes! 😍
Still love Omelianchik's triple full punch front from 1987...Zmeskals triple whip double tuck and of course Atlers Double layout-punch front -double stag leap!!!!!
They are all amazing! Whips are my favorite since I saw Kim Zemeskel's floor routine.
Although it receives no bonus, I really loved Konnor Mcclain’s Double Twist to immediate back handspring Stepout. It was so beautifully done
Can you do a video like this but for beam triple serieses?
Angela Andreoli's whip 1/1 + double tuck that she competed as a junior!!! was pretty insane too
Incredible floor exercise routine!
Lillian Lippeatt’s back full + double back deserves to be on this list.
Angela Andreoli also competed that pass.
Front layout + silivas
Front full twist + front double twist
3 1/2 + front pike
And many other more 😂
Part 2 coming… 😊
Whip 1/2+ double front tuck
I miss whip backs a lot.
angela andreoli did ro + bhs with 1/1 + double back and now she do ro + whip + whip + bhs + bhs + piked full in
i love Simone’s Biles I + front LO
My fav is any combo in slo-mo!
I'm still waiting for a triple full forward with a backwards rebound 😔
1:34 So beautiful epic body shape in air!
Hi! I'd love to see about men's floor.
I the Summer Olympic Games, I want to see Perfect 10s
not me rewinding the vid before it even really gets going to watch aly raisman do her thing
You forgot one of the greatest ever seen. Viktoria's Karpenko round off bhs - whip - bhs - double arabian - punch front
Not on the list but Lilia Podkopayeva’s front handspring bounder fliphus before even the men were really front tumbling…
i wanted to see the “Raisman” on this list

It was Vanessa alter. She was always amazing to watch on floor
@@murasakino101 thank you 🙏

Is the difference between a whip and a layout the arm position?
More the body position. In a whip you use your backwards momentum and "whip" your body around. In a layout you use the ground and your legs to get more height, and keep a layed out position. Often whips have an arch where layouts shouldn't.

Aly Raisman's floor combo is MISSING. It is amazing. It does appear at the begining of the video, but not explained.
How are whips and layouts different?
A whip isn't straight, more a back arch then piked down, and doesn't go high up in the air, so it creates acceleration in the tumbling. A layout is a flip with complete straight body (knees, hips and back), it's supposed to show significant air time and to go high (it's the base for double flips or for skills like triple twist...).

“That girl” is a woman and her tumbling is plenty phenomenal. Putting down one woman to praise another makes you look petty and toxic.
That girl is an Olympic gold medalist and the first and only gymnast to perform triple twisting double layout.
@@gym_analysis It wasn't laid out PERIOD, and she never would have been given credit for it, so try again
Too bad no Izbasa's back 2.5 to tucked 1.5!
Is that real😳
