You probably won’t see this comment as I’m a bit late 2 the party, but I feel the need to EXPRESS....so I’m EXPRESSIN’;) I’ve watched 100’s of TH-cam videos on acrylic & resin pours...but for some reason it’s THIS video, THIS piece & THIS artist(you of course;)that has truly inspired & touched me🙏🏻 I thought the music you chose as your accompaniment to be spot on and matched up perfectly w/the overall “Vibe” & “process”of the piece-& perhaps, more than any of the other instructional videos I’ve devoured, you made me FEEL/BELIEVE that I could jump right in and create something similar-something equally brilliant 👍🏻 I began pouring after seeing some beautiful pieces on Pinterest that were way too expensive for me to buy, but looked like something I could potentially replicate/do myself-I do Interior Design work so I’m not completely devoid of artistic talent....but a”Fine”artist I am NOT😏. I searched”DIY resin art”on TH-cam and this is how I stumbled upon acrylic pouring & discovered a talent I never knew I had-abstract art/color composition,etc. I do love the acrylic pours & have learned so much from doing them, but my heart & that initial vision of depth, shine & beauty, kept steering me back towards the resin pours I absolutely fell in love with on Pinterest. I’ve slowly stocked up my resin arsenal(Not the stonecoat or artresin Brand YET, but a couple of their closest cousins....as well as inks, pigments, sparklies & dyes;), but haven’t felt confident or prepared enough to jump right in and actually USE them.....without the fear of wasting my hoard of precious/pricey materials🙇🏼♀️. So, long story made even longer.....because of you and this gorgeous piece, I finally feel like I CAN do this-that even if I screw up, who the heck cares??! After all, I used 60% off coupons at Michaels & Jo-Anne’s for both resin kits, so even if the worst happens & I waste 4-8oz of resin.....it’s really no more than what I’m guaranteed to spend at my local Starbucks THIS week😉

You must try Resin it’s south fun to learn and. Relate with. Start small and work up then you will loose the fear of cost. Before this Oils was my passion so I am loving trying to mash fluid art and my other skills into each creation. More purposeful that people who just create a flow of colour. LOVE this piece. When you were working on the small canvas panel there were reflections of what might have been blinds, and as you added the peacock it made me think of a wood table with turquoise and copper inlays because the reflection looked like tree rings.

I love how the colors bled into the clear and only left a whisper of white. A very happy accident if you ask me! I. Also love the leftover paint painting. Those colors do make you think of jewels & earth!

Melody Miller it’s a beautiful medium to explore. I ha e only been using this for a short time. It’s Uber sticky fun. My advise is give it a go on a small piece and see how it feels. You get amazing results and the great thing it the colour and resin can do a lot of the work. Let me know if you need any help or advice ❤️

The warm earthy tons against the blue is so beautiful. The slow pull of the gravity created a image of hills or mountains that reflected itself in body of water a mirror image. Wow! So beautiful and peaceful. This moves me deep within my soul. Thank you

Sharon, Both paintings are beautiful in their own right, the large one (for me) has the colours of the west, with mountains and a calming river through it. With the amazing reflection. It is just gorgeous. The second painting with the same colours is totally different but just as beautiful. I just started watching you a few weeks back and I am really enjoying how you explain what you are doing and how things turn out. I have learned a great deal from you. Awesome ! I saw guys making a resin floor one day and they were using kind of rake to spread the resin, a tool with teeth and I tried my spreader with teeth - it works better than spatula or any other tool, just easy, not messy, very evenly - both for resin and background layer of paint.

Hi Sharon, I absolutely LOVE the large painting. I've been doing some pours with acrylic paint on canvas, and now I have to varnish them. But, I think I really like the resin much more, and will probably head in that direction soon. absolutely beautiful work and I liked the music too. look forward to more.

The warm earthy tons against the blue is so beautiful. The slow pull of the gravity created a image of hills or mountains that reflected itself in body of water a mirror image. Wow! So beautiful and peaceful. This moves me deep within my soul. Thank you

Both paintings are beautiful in their own right, the large one (for me) has the colours of the west, with mountains and a calming river through it. With the amazing reflection. It is just gorgeous. The second painting with the same colours is totally different but just as beautiful. I just started watching you a few weeks back and I am really enjoying how you explain what you are doing and how things turn out. I have learned a great deal from you. You are a fantastic artist and I thank you so much for sharing and teaching us while in the midst of creating such beautiful artwork

Don't give up, keep trying. Its a beautiful medium when your work out your style and what works best for you. Start on small pieces to remove the pressures.

Sharon Lindley - Vividdays it's a lovely painting, I don't think you need to have studied art to make lovely art pieces. I've only learn from books, the internet, and TH-cam. I've often wanted to try making art with resin, but I'm waiting on hubby to finish my work space, it's not the kind of thing you do on the kitchen table from what I've seen. Keep on creating. Cheers!

Awesome ! I saw guys making a resin floor one day and they were using kind of rake to spread the resin, a tool with teeth and I tried my spreader with teeth - it works better than spatula or any other tool, just easy, not messy, very evenly - both for resin and background layer of paint.

It is sticky fun with so many possibilities. Start of small and work your way up. You will be surprised by your own results.

Hi Sharon, I absolutely LOVE the large painting. I've been doing some pours with acrylic paint on canvas, and now I have to varnish them. But, I think I really like the resin much more, and will probably head in that direction soon. absolutely beautiful work and I liked the music too. look forward to more.
