The last battery hen has been freed from her cage in the UK. But in Australia, Government is refusing to act. Missy Higgins has teamed up with Animals Australia to give battery hens a voice.

been buying free range for 5 years now and haven't looked back - if we don't buy, there won't be a demand and there won't be a market. There'd be no reason to produce caged eggs.

I'm like you i think its very wrong they dont see day light til last minute/ cant spread their wings, aren't checked by a vet etc. to a lot of people ''they're just chickens' and it doesnt matter. But if its alive, it matters. cat,dog,chicken, etc any life as you say.
