Why not do away with the double box & just make them snap together like with the Bosch boxes? That’ll get rid of some bulk & let you connect more boxes together. It also gets rid of your problem of the box not fitting into the bigger box when you add those attachments to the top.

Really clever design. The only thing I would be concerned about is, that the printed Bosch attachments hooks might not hold up if both of the assortment boxes are completely filled with screws etc. I would be worried that they break off when you carry them around.
Lookwise I prefer the black and red version.

Thanks to you I am thinking very seriously about 3D printing. For years, some companies wanted to give me 3D printers, but I only saw the typical: Printing of plastic toys, many times with a horrible finish.
You have opened my eyes to the great possibilities of printing things that I really need, applying 3D printing to the real world.
Regarding the color of the suitcases, you should look for a color scheme to show a premium product. For the pieces for example red, yellow, gray, orange are always used. The boxes are usually always a black or military green base.
    Keep creating🙌👏🔥

Wow, thats a neat system, gotta build some of those for myself !
Two improvement ideas came to mind right away tho:
    1. Get rid of the outer wooden box, just unnessesary weight,
attatch the same hooks to the bottom of the boxes as on the bosch boxes.
Now you can combine as many as you want.
Also you can fit some sturdy rollers on a single board and attatch the snapping mechanism,
to create a cart out of any stack in any order, if needed.
    2. Lid with window or entirely out of acrylic, just so i dont have to remember whats in which box.
Afterall, everthing fits everywhere, so it ends up who knows where ^^

Instead that you tossing your tools on top randomly into the carrying box, why on earth don't you form a separator, and walls within a box or put in a box all of them? Instead of printing plastic blockers to the cases to prevent falling out the carrying holder, I think it would be better choice to implement drawer slides, and wheels on bottom of the stack/or separate wheels deck module with clips on side. A stack-able and variable assortment box on wheels can be really useful... Also I suggest to print assortment list, or at least categorize by colors or by numbering the cells can be handy. Include a giant battery compartment with external charging plug: so all of your tools/batteries gonna be charged, and ready to run. Pro design idea: make your rolling toolbox an dock where you can charge it with qi charger wirelessly the main battery. If this battery plug goes into a stack - case/box then you can chain up the whole, or you can ensure that you can have always mobile power with you. Also add some internal lights, or mild led stripe above the compartments, so that ways staying visible.

I love version 2 and thank you for making the square boxes. I was planning on buying a lot of Sortimo-like boxes, this finally convinced me I'll get a 3D printer instead.

Hi Alexandre, I was slowly cleaning up my workshop in the last year, but when I found this video, it was the spark that I needed to accelerated my cleanup. I bought your assortment boxes and my 3D printer Ender 3 Max has been printing these boxes 24/7 for the last 3 weeks. In the mean time, I brought a lot of stuff to recycling or give to some friends to make room for this new organizing system. Thanks for putting this together. I find the boxes very well designed.

    Love this, thanks.
I like the idea of the boxes locking together using the bosch attachement hooks and then make corresponding latches on the bottom amd have the boxes lock together. You could even make a standalone top handle just for the cases instead of needing the bosch crates
