- Tutorial by Infraready ghost hunting equipment store showing you how to build a spirit Box Portal.
The mini spirit portal is ample to build and all of the parts are easily found on eBay.
If you have any questions relating to the build then please feel free to comment and I’ll get back to you.
Just ordered my last wire off of Amazon. I can’t wait to see how it sounds. Thanks for this video. I had some questions that you answered!🙏🏻🌎☮️👻
Www.infraready.co.Uk thanks. How did you get on?
I bought one. But what setting makes it more audible. What setting
Hi there thank you for great advice and help nice to see someone helping the community.
Have you got a brake down how to make this radio in the video do do the sweep please thank you
Why is the reverb needed? I find a slight echo helps me “hear” better. Do you find the reverb helps in some way?
The reverb expands words to help understand them
For those of you who could not power the guitar pedals using "5 to 9v
dc step up converter cable" or using "9v battery connectors male dc" the
reason is that the these pedals are centre negative you see the + sign and
printed on the pedals.
Normal cables current is - sign and
I ended up buying wrong 5v to 9v step up converter cable.
You actually need to type "5V USB to DC 9V Power Cable Guitar Effects
Pedal Power Supply USB Cable" and same for 9v battery connectors you
search "Effect Pedal Battery Clip 9V For Guitar Power Cable Battery Male
Connector"
So you must type "guitar pedal effect" because these cables are different.
Spot on. Great advice
The parts are freely available on eBay. They are very easily sourced. Thanks
I am working on purchasing items now, I have found it to be between $115 and $130 (USA) but these sell for $250 plus, depending on the form of Amp that is used. Thank you for the video! Really appreciate it!
Thanks for this vid I've got an sbox and I also own 2 good amps so I just need the noise gate and the reverb and wires and I'm good to go..could you give me a list please of what I need just to make sure I'm correct..thanks for a cracking video
What does the reverb do, and would a chorus pedal work better for voicing?
You could use a pedal of your choice. Using reverb is often overlooked by many inexperienced investigators as they feel it makes messages harder to hear or interpret. If s modest level of reverb is used, particularly with a clean sweep ghost box, the small snippets of audio can be merged together to form longer more intelligent responses.
@@andybailey1000, thank you for the explanation.
Interesting. Hella cheaper than paying for one that’s already modified, or one that just has, paranormal on it and up charges. I think making one seems pretty interesting
As long as you have the scanning radio, that has been modified, you are ready to go
What is the daisy that connects to the reverb and noise gate do you have Amazon link please
Hi sir thanks for tutorial , please could you tell me which buttons you clicked on that radio in order to get it scanning channels like it does on your video ?
Hi. The radio has been hacked to allow it to sweep.
Good spirit box portal
I'm using a regular speaker for mine, does it matter that I'm not using an amplifier?
An amplified output is superior.
@@InfrareadyLtd Thank you, I just purchased the mini compact and it does sound a lot better! Lets so much more in..
Pedals basically do not turn on. Could you help me please 🙏
Most probably a polarity issue. You should note that guitar pedals have a negative centre pin. I’m guessing you are using a 9v power adapter or 9v battery with power clip? If so, you most probably find they need modifying as they will have a positive centre pin.
I bought everything plus a mini guitar amplifier speaker called LEKATO 20w ( rechargeable battery) sold on amazon, it has three 9V outputs for standard guitar pedals so you dont need to carry a power bank or 9v batteries to power the pedals. The amplifier in this video has 3 star reviews on amazon so i bought different one.
Unfortunately i couldn't get rid of the noise, when you turn the noise gate button to zero, there is no sound and when you turn it anti clock wise, the noise comes back.
I am still learning how to use it.
However the sounds in video without noise are still hard to understand
How much does the noise gate pedal and the Reverb pedal cost ? What is the wattage of the amp or speaker cost?
I am working on pricing one of these myself, so if you go with the Honeytone amp with all other items its roughly $105.00 (USA) with a slightly better amp that is chargeable for up to 5 hours (which Is what I am considering) is closer to $130 (USA). Really not to bad considering if you wanted to sell it it would go for upwards of $250.00 (USA).
25-35 Amazon, just google it. He’s showing you the most inexpensive ones he can grab for an example already. Cheers

I have that amp, it cost me $3 years ago.
You do not need a whopping expensive amp, all its doing is making audio that you can hear. I use the cheapest smallest unit I can find, so that it posrtable. I also use the cheapest noise gate and reverb that I can find, often second hand, and it all works really well for me.
What's the best way to block radio signals? I remove the antenna of my psb7t and it does help a bit, but I can still catch lots of radios and on top of that there's an old tv tower near by, which is probably working as radio tower as well and the signals are very strong. Unless I move somewhere or find a way to block the signals, my spirit box is pretty much useless.
You could try a faraday pouch
www.infraready.co.uk/?s=Faraday
@@InfrareadyLtd I have something similar and it kinda works for the psb7, but if I connect it to my speaker and pedals, I think the cables act as an antenna and I can still hear the radio signals.
@@Foxtrot-jr5qu use a larger pouch and stick the speaker and cables inside too. You could try placing the items inside s plastic bag then wrapping them in tin foil to test the principle.
@@InfrareadyLtd I'll definitely try this and see if it's working. A while ago someone told me that if I attach a paperclip on the antenna and wrap it with a wire and stick it to the ground it would block all radio signals, but since i'm using it at home I can't test that theory.
There is a cemetery in less than a kilometer away from my house and another one that has been moved away 40+ years ago and it's also very close. This area is probably a ghost magnet, but that tower is making things worse.
Hello, and thank you for showing a simple way of making one of these babies. But could you please list all the items needed to make it with. 🙏
contact everready, or myself at bigkim100@hotmail.ca for help...too long to list
Is there any reason I couldn't use a headphone amp instead of a guitar amp and use headphones ??
Yes you could do that.
@@InfrareadyLtd Thanks very much for quick response I do appreciate and you responding at all.
Awesome video thank you. Can you tell me what cords you are using for each device to connect all the devices to each other? Hard to hear in the video. The amp I have has a charger to plug to the wall outlet.
It doesnt matter if anything is plug in, it just doesnt free you up like batteries do
Can you explain what to use to power it without a wall socket? I want to bring this to places. You didn't show all of the cable nor what to do. unless im dumb. could you explain? I haven't worked with these before but want to make my P-SB7 work with it.
Hi. The pedals are driven off 9v. Guitar pedals are a little different to normal as the centre pin is negative rather than positive. Use a power splitter cable (or daisy chain) that’s 5.5 x 2.1mm. Then find a 9v battery clip with a male 5.5 x 2.1 plug. You’ll need to cut the red and black wires fit this and the rejoin them black to the red, and red to black. This will basically allow you to achieve the correct polarity of power needed. Mail me at infraready.co.I’m if needed. Thanks
Hello, can I plug the ocean verb into a speaker bar instead of an amp, and if i do need to use an amp which is the best one to use? Thanks! Great video 👍
Any of the items do need an amp, they are not powerful enough just to drive a speaker by itself
What kind of spirit box is that?
It’s a hacked hrd737 radio paired with two guitar pedals and an amplified speaker.
Can you plug the pedals in at the main? Cancelling the need for the battery pack?
I have a daisy chain for mine that plugs into a usb that I power up with a rechargeable battery pack
@@exploreFear Most pedals use 9vDC , which you can get a small Wall-Wart to power them, but this means that the unit isnt portable to take with you.
Mine works perfectly . The power bank runs both reverb and noise gate. And it holds a charge for a looooong time. So no pedals😊
And do i need the ocean verb, is just the noise gate ok, or is it necessary?
It will be fine without one i honestly think reverb is to just make it seem more spooky and ghostly or something
The noise gate , if set correctly will mean that you wont have to listen to static for hours. The reverb, extends the voices, so that they are easier to hear
Do you feel a larger amp gives you better sound??
Matching your amp to the speaker takes a lot of trial and error. If the amp goes too loud it’ll distort.
@@InfrareadyLtd that makes sense! Thanks for the quick response!
Do you still have these ghost boxes for sale, if so how much are they.?
Hi. I no longer sell this type.
Can you or do you have a list of this equipment?
I just built one and have a list in the description if you are interested. You can see it in operation as well and a step by step.
How long will both padals run on 1x 9v you think. bulding one like this thanks to your video.
At least 4-6 hours depending on the battery.
Thanks, that's more than enough for 1 round of investigating.
I use a voltage drop circuit to convert 12 volts DC to 9 volts and use a Lithium Ion rechargeable battery. Just don't forget the power plug to the pedal is reversed polarity.
@@oldwrench579 You can use rechargeable 9v batteries, for an extended stay
What settings do you have set for your reverb pedal? We have all the same stuff but we are needing help because our pedals are not seeming to work in this manor
I've found the HOF Mini Reverb pedal loaded with Steve Huff's preferences work best, in my opinion.
@@oldwrench579 I feel you are correct, just difficult to find one used or at a decent price, Don't really want to spend $80-$100 on one of the HOF's. Have you had luck with any other reverbs??
I PERSONALLY use the cheapest units that I can get my paws on, in EBay. I know that Hoff has brainwashed a lot of people into believing its the pedals hes chosen or nothing, but to me, thats not the case. He has a lotta people throwing money his way, I dont.
May I know where did you get the frequency receiver???
It’s off our website www.infraready.co.uk
I paid to have one made and I am having trouble tuning it in they put one of the pedals in upside down I am frustrated I was wondering if anyone could help me
Richie Rich where did you buy it from??
Es posible subtitular lo al castellano?
What parts do I need ?
A radio that has been converted to ghost scanning, the 2 pedals shown, and a small amplified speaker
This could be not real?
All of this stuff COULD not be real, that why ypou have to try it yourself
Crimey, speak up, and turn off the portal, so we can tell what the hell you are saying for heavens sake!!!
You maybe right that he's quite but don't be such a rude woman....
@@gavhinds8190 Listen Lady, Im a guy, and I can say whatever I wish
@@kimsleep4111 LMAO...are you sure.
Can't hear a thing your saying.
Im not a technical person so have no idea wot cables i need as you dont name them its hard to even hear wot your saying while box is on overall very unhelpful
It depends on the outputs of the specific Noise Gate, and reverb, and the size of the inputs of your amp. Usually this stuff uses the professional 3/4in audio jacks and cables. Get yourself 3 or 4 3/4in cables, and then one 3/4in adapter to 1/4in for the output of your radio. The radio has to be adapted to scan.
There are no ghosts. Only demons.
Okay no 😂 there’s all kinds of spirits
Would be nice if you turn it off then talk so we coukd understand what youre saying smfh
There are dozens of videos on how to do this on U Tube
