    Dimitrov's backhand and Tiafoe's forehand makes this look like a cheaper version of Federer vs Kyrgios.

    No Nishikori and more importantly no Delpo! Probably the 2 best players of team world. No contest! Europe has all the goods either way.

    Really want Grigor to win a few majors. He’s such a likeable guy. I just feel he lacks conviction in that BH and doesn’t have any real patterns of play. The off the cuff style makes it hard for him to replicate performances week in week out. He needs a coach to set him up tactically. The talent is there and he has a fairly good mental strength.

    • @peterpkr
      @peterpkr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I think he just lacks a bit of pace on his groundstrokes which makes him unable to shorten points and gets into long grinding rallies

    • @dinethaltmann9582
      @dinethaltmann9582 6 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @Your Mehra It sounds like you think he's dissing Dimitrov. He's wanting him to win, if you didn't catch that. And none of us play as good as pros, but we can still see where they lack. And whats been pointed out is fairly common knowledge

    • @dinethaltmann9582
      @dinethaltmann9582 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @Your Mehra As tennis fans, we are entitled to talk about players. We are worse than them. We know that. But we're not their coach, and we're not talking directly to them. We're talking amongst ourselves about the player's shortcomings. It's merely discussion

    If Dimitrov wants to be a grandslam champion he has to improve his backhand. He can't just slice all day. Maybe Tiafoe struggled with the slice that's why Dimitrov was doing it but I'm not too sure.

    This is just too one sided. Team Europe obviously has the advantage with 2 of the all time GOATS and much more great talent but team World are missing their best players. Where is Del Potro, Raonic and Nishikori? Even Shapovalov would have had more of a chance than Tiafoe. Sorry, I just don't think he's currently good enough to compete at this level. As for people saying Dimitrov sliced too much, it was probably a tactical choice. Tiafoe is more of a counter puncher and has no real weapons in terms of taking on slow balls. Against someone like Del Potro, he wouldn't have used the slice so much.

      look at how he smile at the end. damn it is hopless.

    • @mrd2010
      @mrd2010 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      abosulutely no, take a look at this article and the first photo:
      www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/jul/03/andre-agassi-novak-djokovic-listen-advice-elbow-injury
      Djokovic's grip is no good for his elbow since he do a lot open stance and trying to hit the ball hard with full arm swing. that's impossible for human and that's how I hurt myself then take a long period to recover and still have some issues these days.
      Chung is also not a good example to imitate:
      www.givemesport.com/1244345-hyeon-chung-is-being-criticised-for-retiring-from-ao-semifinal-his-agent-has-responded
      I never seen a player's stance and footwork can be that bad. like he is not expecting a good healthy walk after the age of 30.
      being a fan of Djokovic when I took the first step of tennis many years ago, since I fuck up my arm and lower limb, I take lessons more from Federer. he surely have a good reason to survive this long time.
      and ... come on... don't be that judgmental seeing a guy like Dimitrov, I think he is right about one thing but fuck up everything else.
