  • Hi guys,
    In this video I give a detailed review on the Ford Mustang Mach E, AWD Extended Range. I’ve tried to cover as much as possible so if you are considering this car, hopefully you’ll find this review useful :)
    Big thanks to Ford UK for the loan of the car.
    Also thanks Racelogic for use of their timing gear which can be found here;

    A few things:
    1) it definitely deserves to wear the ‘stang badge - missing only the inability to steer and likelihood of wrapping itself round a pole
    2) that frunk is HUGE and one of the most usable ones I’ve ever seen - especially considering there is a motor in the front there

    Great, comprehensive review Gary. I’m perplexed as to why they used the Mustang name and badge though. But then at £60k, they need as much marketing as they can get. Nice work mate, interesting to hear a true petrolhead’s opinion on an EV

    • @CarFocused
      @CarFocused  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m a little confused as to why Ford didn’t enter the EV market with a smaller, more affordable car, rather than a premium model. But it was a great experience for me and I can see the appeal if you have everything in place to run one 👍🏻

    2022 it doesnt slow down charging until 90%...pretty nice..Ford will be sending OTA one deals with charging..80 to 90 used to take 52 minutes....after update only 15 minutes

    Great review. I own the same MME in the US and love it. The EPA range rating is 270 miles, which is more realistic than the European WLTP numbers.
    I notice a few small differences with the European version of the car, which is odd because they roll of the same assembly line in Mexico. My MME does have Michelin tires, no red brake calipers, no ‘AWD’ badge on the rear and no contrast stichting. And the sport mode is called ‘unbridled’.

    • @CarFocused
      @CarFocused  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! It’s strange how they make small differences like that isn’t it! I mean, how does that make any sense?lol.

    Is the British version different in some way other than right side drive? The US versions of the Premium AWD extended range is advertised at 4.8 seconds 0-60.

    Enjoyed the review Gary….. as always 👍 lot of talk about the prices tho let’s face it no one buys a car theses days it’s all pcp and hp. Granted the monthly payments will be higher but the cost of running is low compare to petrol 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

    Decent review, bought this model a couple of months ago and loving it. The exterior build quality is far better than the Teslas but still not up to German premium cars is my only gripe. Other than that it’s a great first electric car and I’m never going back.

      @@CarFocused I've only had the car during this cold period but i'm getting around 220 miles ish but I don't hold back on the heating etc. but hopefully that will grow as the weather increases. I didn't have a home charger in the first 5 weeks but I work in Leeds and i'm able to park and charge at a Q-Park and pay just 31p per kwh which works fine. Now I've got my home charger it's super convenient. I was a nervous mover to electric but it's working fine although I do feel like i've paid a premium for being a first mover.

    Agree with your review…i’ve had one on loan to try out an EV…it’s pretty impressive…love the styling, interior and comfort/space. It drives like a giant hot hatch imo, it is enjoyable to hustle down a b road - quite unexpected! I also tried a Kia EV6 which i didn’t like at all…cheap plastic interior, strange velour seats, odd graphics, missing a rear wiper, and drove like a 2 tonne milk float…not good at all. As a company car this works - given the low tax position. I’m a petrol head too, and like you was surprised I liked the Mach E!

    Is the European spec different? The ER AWD premium in Canada does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds.
    Also I love that you guys in the UK get black seats with red stitching and black headliners. Looks awesome. Our black seats have terrible looking white stitching. And beige headliners…..yuck!
