I think the menu changes from place to place. I live in upstate New York and our menu wasn't this long. I went to Cheesecake Factory in downtown Boston and it was like the menu was on steriods. I couldn't handle all the options!!

I was craving Cheesecake Factory recently when I just saw this lol. I never thought about the absurdity of Cheesecake Factory’s menu until Ellen pointed it out! Seriously though, FOUR pages of Appetizers?! For the cheesecakes it makes sense for their menu to be humongous, but with everything else it’s like what other restaurant has a menu that has pages spanning double digits lol? Imagine how much effort it takes for employees to remember every single item, and have people ask them about all of them and which one(s) they prefer over the other(s) lol. I have never seen another restaurant menu this excessive!
I work at an animal shelter. Studies (and anecdotal evidence) have shown that if we put fewer animals on the adoption floor at a time, we get more adoptions overall. Humans become overwhelmed when faced with too many options and shut down. Restaurants don't always grasp this concept.

Last time I went was in San Francisco’s Cheesecake Factory. We waited about an hour to see outside on the rooftop in Macy’s. It was his choice as I reluctantly waited. Nice place and nice view. And yes the menu is huge. I got a cocktail and a ordered my dinner and all my friend ordered was a chicken Caesar salad. I said we could have gotten that at the mall or Mel’s diner.
I'm not kidding right now. I just went to The Cheesecake Factory on Memorial day. It was my first time going and when I saw the menu I said the same thing that Ellen said. Seriously the choices they give u, damn! So much.

Ellen is right on target with her observations. They have a menu that tries to please everyone and many of the items are not that pleasing when you get them. In San Franciscio, where I live, the eatery is located in our Union Square Macy's store. So on the pages where she showed an ad our menu is filled with ads for Macy's store departments. jmo
I actually work there and you have to learn the menu especially servers, food runners and cashiers. I honestly can’t even decide what I want to eat during my break. Everything is made by scratch which is crazy for the 100+ items on it.
I don't watch this show on a regular basis, and generally find many of her jokes on the show to be cheesy, but this is as hilarious as when she used to do stand-up. If she doesn't do this kind of observational stuff on the reg, she should.
