She was pregnant twice during Seinfeld?!? Holy crap I didn't even notice and I've watched the series many times. She hid it well.
Yep super obvious in some sit coms but never noticed in Seinfeld!
The only episode I can think of is when she has that man she hates staying with her for a week and then they missed the flight. You know, with the packing scene and where she's at Jerry's talking about the drive to the airport. In retrospect she might have been pregnant there! But I had no idea either!
Yeah, there are episodes where she's hiding behind a pillow or Jerry's kitchen counter. There's also a point in one season where she's away traveling . It was during seasons 3 and 8. They did a great job hiding it and she of course looked amazing all throughout.
Seinfeld pitch a scenario where she got pregnant I think, or maybe it was that she just got fat, but she vetoed it. She later said she regretted it because it would’ve been funny but she was too self conscious. It’s in her episode of comedians in cars getting coffee.

"Elaine" fashion was my go to in the 1990's! I copied that first look in her book. A long dress with socks and flat shoes was perfect for workdays. Fashion changed in the 90s to casual style and if you worked under a dress code, Elaine gave us creative options. I also wore my hair wild and curly like Elaine. I miss those days when we didn't worry or spend so much on our hair!

Stu8025, it was a good look. Lets not forget those same girls who wore floral print and chunky shoes during the day knew how to vamp it up for the clubs at night.
Somehow I managed to miss that completely. I was in college at the time, so I think I just wore jeans every day.
Why were the pictures not put up on the screen? Weird choice to not actually let the viewers see the dresses.

It seems everything was prepared in rush. Her hair is not touched, thought Vogue or any show provides complimentary hair & make up for the guests. The dresses pics also the same story, no editorial time been devoted.

What would Vogue know about presenting fashion?
There was something about 90s makeup that was SO aging. I was a teenager back then, and when I look at pictures now I really look a lot older in them than I did without cosmetics.
Everything was matte, matte, matte. I guess I liked it then but a little glow really softens the face.
Today teenage girls look like 30 because the make up makes them way more older than they are. I guess it was never different. Unlike one lives in Asia (e.g. S.Korea/China). There everyone wants to look young 4ever. The make up makes one look like a teenager (but dolled up).
Really would have loved to hear more details about the “Elaine” outfits, especially the vintage 30s/40s jackets, were she bought the chunky shoes in the early 90s... those looks are so iconic.

Elaine's wardrobe - her hair - her entire look - was Da BOMB! She was cutting edge and a trend-setter for street fashion in the 80s. Recently re-watched early seasons of Seinfeld, and actually admired some of those outfits - even in this day and age. Seriously, tho, they **were** Elaine. They defined her. What's not to love?

I love her giggles (Princess Giggles) and I thought her style on Seinfeld was THE BEST because it allowed Julia/her character Elaine to be fully SEEN beyond her body. It is old news that Hollywood has a suoerficial love affair with hot bodied people. Elaine got us to love her for HER and it is so rare for women to be SEEN beyond their body. She looked feminine in the floral but not constricted (like her Veep character) so it made me feel relaxed watching her feel free enough to express Elaine fully (weird dancing and all.)
