I take pride in my appearance and always have a smile on my face so I look approachable. I had a friend who was 10 years older than I was. She taught me many things. We always 'joked' that she was the Queen and I was the 'Princess in training'. (She was a Queen). Sadly, she passed away, but every word she ever said to me has come to be a life lesson that I needed. She was passing it on and thankfully I paid attention. I miss her so much, but what she left me was priceless. I did not have 'princess' mindset.....now I am putting the pieces together. Thank you, Uriania. She also stressed that having older and younger friends was very important. Older friends have life experience lessons to share and younger friends keep you current and youthful.

People made me feel like I was living an unrealistic life so I changed. This video has helped me see I am on the right track, getting back to my true self and I am grateful.

Closely observing those that receive princess treatment and listen to advice. I was a single mom, newly divorced and not accustomed to kind treatment. At a meeting hosted by professional gentlemen, I began to serve myself a beverage and my female colleague kindly said, oh no sit back down and they will provide for us. And it happened. I was amazed and have followed that approach even as I have matured in my profession and in my marital relationship. I wonder if men grew up in a home where the father did not treat the mother in this manner, would they as adult men have difficulty?
Yup smh. SOML. I'm naturally kind hearted and treat everyone with respect. It's literally NEVER reciprocated and it's always met with exactly what you just said. This is what I grew up under and that never changed when I became an adult. Idk what else to do. I feel like a lost cause where this is concerned smh. Anything I want or want done for me, I have to do it myself and for myself always. If I don't do it, no one else has ever made the effort. Not for me at least smh. I recently graduated with my master's and no one offered to pay for my dinner and even on my milestone birthday, no one offered to help pay for anything. I'm always on my own smh. I feel like I have a target on my head that says everyone spew your hate and blame out in this one! It's the worst smh!
