  • *NOT ALL PINS IN THIS VIDEO WERE MADE BY ME*
I ran a small shop for a few years, but closed it in 2023. This is why it didn't go well.
I'm back to making videos, and I hope you guys are ready for them!
Next week's video will be the start of my Vlog series about following my dreams. Any suggestions for a name?
As always, make sure to turn on the captions. They make watching more fun :)
    Thanks for waiting,
    I hope you like it.
If you are wanting to start your own small shop, don't let this scare you, let this help you see some blindspots you may not be aware of! You've got this ♡

Sucks the small business didn't work out, but I'm happy that your Etsy shop is going well!

thank you! it's easy enough since it's all digital work, and I like that I can just post listings whenever I want

I feel similar about wanting to be in charge of something instead of wanting to be an artist. Starting a business is always in the back of my mind, but I dont have any ideas about what i can do and lack the skills. It is good to try things and learn more about yourself through the experience, but i just cant put myself to do it. :( it is still inspiring to see you find an outlet with your etsy shop and wanting to create videos through your experience of owning a business. Wishing you the best 💖

Me too! The business side of things seems so daunting and risky and I'm so scared of it. I also think that my skills are not good enough to support myself in comparison to competitor products :/ I'm glad she was brave enough to give it a try though :)

This is EXACTLY what it felt like.
What I've learned so far is that you shouldn't do something if you aren't 100% sure that you want to. I try my best to follow what *feels* right and makes sense to me at that time.
Thank you very much for the kind words ♡ I'm really glad you connected with this experience.
You'll find what you want to do, just keep looking!

What you said really inspired me to start my own business .I've always dreamt of owning a sticker business but I just have been too nervous . I want to start next year and every day I'm drawing ideas and printing and cutting stickers so that I can be organized and prepared. But I keep looking for what is the best way to make a website because I heard good and bad things about Etsy so I don't know and then I'm supposed to have a copyright for my business or LLC but don't know which is the best? And I just get worried that I won't get any sales when I do open my dream shop. But I know great things will happen for you and your Etsy shop can't wait to see more of your amazing videos!!!!!!

This is awesome!!! 😱 The beginning of anything will always be scary and unknown territory. But once you do it, it's not new anymore and you can only go up!

your voice is so nice for commentary! i'd love it if you could do videos on your experience in etsy because I've heard etsy has quite a lot of fees ^^

I will say, because I didn't sell very much with Etsy (I mainly sold through Shopify), I don't think I'd be qualified enough to give my opinions. But I'm glad you really loved the commentary! I will continue to use it in my videos :)

Hi! I have a few things I’d like to say…
First, I love this and your other recent videos very much! I enjoy the quality of them and also how personal and vulnerable you get. It’s a side you don’t show as often on other platforms but it’s who I remember when I met you.
Speaking of, your small business is how I met you! I don’t recall exactly how but I believe I may have followed you through an IG giveaway that you may have partnered with. I had a small period of time where I was searching for pins and that’s how our paths crossed and you already know the rest.
Just wanted to share that I love this video and this series and I’m thankful to follow along and watch your story unfold.
