What are Sociological Theories? (Functionalism, Conflict Theory, Symbolic Interactionism)

In this video, we define what a theory is. We also look at the three major sociological theoretical frameworks of functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism. Moreover, we look at these frameworks within the context of economic poverty.

Sociologist need to figure out a better way to introduce new students to Sociology. This method of generalization and vague terminology is enough to make me want to learn enough to pass and be done with this topic forever. I am a 4.0 GPA in the top 10% of my class. I really am discouraged by the intro to the Introduction of Sociology! So many vague and general terms to explain vague and general key terms.
