      Us too! Way more than we expected! We want to go back but stay in a better camping spot next time! Where we stayed was too far out, but we planned the trip last minute.

      We were boat people before we were RV people. Both lifestyles blend well!

    Awesome video. The Santa Elena Canyon Trail kind of looks like the Narrows at Bryce Canyon.

      It really does, but the water is much warmer!! It was our favorite part of BBNP.

    Thanks for sharing your video! Next month we are headed back to BBNP for our tenth trip in ten years. We’ve tent camped in the basin, stayed at the lodge in the basin, at The Casitas in Terlingua, in our fifth wheel, and this coming trip will be with our Lance truck camper. We typically try to visit in the winter which makes for pleasant hiking weather. So many wonderful things about the park! It’s a 600 mile drive for us from Gainesville, Texas, but it’s worth every mile!
    May God bless and hope you have a wonderful week.

    Awesome video footage & thank you for sharing your experiences, I like that you pointed out the easier trails & scenic drives because I'm disabled. I plan on visiting Big Bend National Park this winter as I travel through Texas to get away from the Wisconsin winter weather.

    The river was very low. It's usually at it's highest in the late Spring after the snow melt.

      It was very low when we went, for sure! Would love to return and see it higher!

    Really nicely made video! Big Bend is our next destination in February or March 2023. The background music is really nice too, what is it?

      @keevs5adventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      We were there in March and the weather was perfect! Enjoy your trip and feel free to contact us with any questions you have! The music was free with Adobe Rush.

    Thanks for sharing. Glad to see some water in the Rio Grande, it was bone dry in our videos. We had a great time though. Good stuff.

    • @keevs5adventures
      @keevs5adventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Rio Grande was dry? When did you go? I know it happens, and it seemed low when we were there, but dry would definitely be disappointing! Thank you for watching and commenting!

      @Keevs5 Adventures We were there late May last year. It was hot and dry but we managed to see a lot. But we didn't see some of what you did so it's nice to see what we missed. We were only there 2 days. No water has it's pros and cons. We were able to walk a long way into the canyon which was cool. Feel free to check out our videos. Still a rookie but having fun.

    When I went to Emory peak it was snowing. We got tot he too and couldn’t see the view at all. Literally only about 10 feet away. Bummer but that in itself was an experience. Great video!

      @keevs5adventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds a lot like our hike down into the Grand Canyon! We hiked down for hours and couldn’t see anything with all the snow and clouds! 🤣
      Do you plant to hike it again in clear weather?

    One of our favorite getaways. We live in Midland which is only a 3.5 hour drive.

      We had a wonderful time there! We are going to try to make it back more often after we finish seeing every state in the lower 48. Thanks for your comment!

    Hand to God… Kym and I were talking about visiting Big Bend Park the day ya’ll dropped this video. Our current home in McAllen is only 6 hours away. It must be a sign. P.s. we miss the Tiki Bar. 😊

    • @keevs5adventures
      @keevs5adventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We miss you guys. We aren’t far from you in Mansfield! Definitely start planning now. The RV parks fill up a year in advance! I think that’s why a lot of people have hard time getting down there! March was a perfect time! See if you can find a spot! We miss the tiki bar too! It’s gathering cobwebs. We may need to get it out!

    $10 for the ferry! I thought it was only $5. Can you haggle at all?

    • @keevs5adventures
      @keevs5adventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He didn’t seem receptive to that. We almost ran out of money between ferry, transport to the town, and food! Couldn’t even get a margarita or beer!
