Big Bend National Park in Texas - Camping, Hiking, Hot Springs. Amazing views!

- In this video I visited Big bend National Park where I did some camping at The Rio Grande Campground, climbed to Emory Peak, Hiked Lost Mine Trail, and even visited the Hot Springs. I camped here in my B Class RV.
This is a great place to spend the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday season. #vanlife #rvlife #camping #rv

Great video! North of Big Bend is Davis Mountains State Park. You can get some good views there as well. Also in the area is Balmorhea State Park which features a spring fed pool that stays 72 to 76° year-round. Yes, javelina can be aggressive - especially if they smell food cooking. I had to chase several away one evening as I was grilling steaks. :0

Great video Ruby! Your video of the road to the hot springs is exactly what I was looking for. I will have an RV and it looks like I will have to park at the first parking lot (and make sure I arrive early).

I hope to someday see this park and do some camping there as well. Did the campground fill up when you were there? Did you make a reservation? Was this a trip you just did this month, the weather looked pretty good. Thanks for sharing with us and giving us some great scenic views.
Hello Adele, I made my reservation for the campground a couple of weeks in advance. The campgrounds tend to be fully booked but I was able to snag a cancellation. I went there last month and the weather varied. It was cold on some days and warmer on a couple of others. You tend to warm up pretty quickly when hiking though. I hope you do get a chance to spend time at Big Bend National Park as the views are even more spectacular in person! Thank you so much for watching my videos!

Beautiful video of your hikes, and also informative, Ruby! You are so brave to hike 5 miles ONE-way to the top! Are you comfortable about leaving your van at the trail head parking? That is something I will have to get used to when I start my travels!!
