I'm hoping this song introduces him to a wider American audience, and to more influential people in America. He so deserves the recognition.
Not minus the lyrics. Dimash had people work on putting the lyrics together, to fit the storyline { with lot's of 'winks' at familiar, to his target audience, pop culture Dracula themes and visuals,} but he is a perfectionist. He would have gone over every word, every syllabil, every aspect of pronunciation, how each word fit with the musical composition, and every micro-aspect of set/ design/ lighting/ soundscape / camera angle etc. etc. In short; each and every performance and production element - multiple times - before first rehearsal. What we see is not only the further exploration and expansion of his incredible musical talent, but also the ongoing development his film making skill set. We kinda like 'Bad-Ass Count Dimash'! I love that he's never predictable, every new Dimash song is like unwrapping a Christmas present as you never know what direction he's gone in this time. It still amazes me that within weeks we saw him do a full on operatic duet with Placido Domingo and then he springs this awesome bluesy rock number with an equally awesome vampire MV. He wrote this in LA last year, I guess his time spent with Stevie Mackie paid off in spades. He's just released the teaser for another MV called Smoke, he's apparently gone gangster/drug cartels in this one!

Soon has become the running joke between Dimash and the Dears, he uses it to troll and tease us, it could be anything from a week to 6 months but I'm betting on around 6 weeks maybe? In the meantime you might want to take a look at The Pearl Fishers Duet that he sang with Placido Domingo, one of the world's greatest operatic Tenors, he was one of The Three Tenors, along with Pavarotti and Jose Carreras.

Thank you. The recording of 'The Flower Duet' at the beginning and end of the video is actually an old recording from 1915. Dimash's singing in R&B/soul etc. is wonderful. The composition is excellent and the story line was fantastically presented. The lyrics are incredible and could be used in many situations, but this one was great to be interpreted as a vampire vibe. The headline at the end said that the unknown journalist (the woman) interviews 'DQ', who no one knows about his personal life. She is nervous and fantasizes/dreams of him as a vampire who wants to be free and that she is the answer! ... or it could be true that that is exactly what happened when she went to get the interview. :) Fantastic on all fronts. Another song/music video has been teased by Dimash called 'Smoke', so be on the lookout!

Dimash is Dimash, it always surprises. He has so many different styles, techniques, ways of communicating, courage that the songs are different and bring something new. His work is very diverse. I checked your playlist and you haven't seen much yet. All of Dimash's music videos are beautiful and movie-like. You haven't met the funny Dimash yet, with a sense of humor and the ability to laugh at himself. I recommend all of Dimash's music videos, each one is different, but they are all worth recommending.

How could it have been a dream if the interview was printed? Notice the SMALL logo was on a different side going to and going from. Too much hinting to a real experience, but in a different "reality" -of the vampire.

Well he does have some songs that have a rap course in them that he does and of course he has other runs as impressive as the one in here except those are usually vocalized runs and not lyrical runs. I think he pulled this one off to perfection.

So glad you guys reacted to this Dimash latest creation. This song is Soul, Blues, R&B, Rock, and even a bit of Gospel harmonies all mixed in, and yet Dimash blended them all so well together. Catchy too. Guitar solo was awesome. Everyone who worked on this MV(more like a short film) has done such a great job. 👏 Dimash’s acting, the main actress, the scary butler and not to forget costumes and makeup designers… Best of all, is of course Dimash’s super vocal. He is a sexy vampire. 😊
Everything Dimash produces is Top Class....... what's lost about Dimash imo is that b/c he's the best vocalist alive, we pay little attention to the fact that he is one of the great young composers in music today..... His musical instincts are remarkable - the chord progressions, the bits & pieces of other genre's in the notes - and None of it Ever feels forced - it all flows gorgeously..... Vampires always had that aura of loneliness to me. That’s why this longing love song seems so fitting, even if it doesn’t seem obvious on first glance. p.s. thank u SO much for sharing that you appreciated this song with all of the new elements - for DQ - that he brought into it, the fusion of all the textures and styles he brought together in his own unique way - because a couple, and fortunately ONLY a couple out of ALL the many many reviewers I've seen, didn't like it because they thought it was too "beneath" him, too simple, too commercial....and they both said he should only sings songs in languages other than English...and I thought wow, to try and put an artist in a box and say your should only sings songs in this style, and only if you use your full 7 octave range every time, and never in English.....yikes...So I was thrilled that you appreciated the fact that he created a fantastic work of art and he didn't feel the need to use all 7 octaves....we love that, but it isn't necessary in every song, and I for one appreciate that DQ uses his instrument to serve the song!

Ran into this video the other day and gave it a chance since everybody seems to think his vocals are better than Freddie Mercury's. Impressive, I admit. - Btw: The percentage of non-subscribed watchers is a problem even for a non monetized channel. But at least you get the views and your channel gets recommended on the home page. Freddie will always be a legend but technically Dimash is definitely the better vocalist. Also Dimash's stage presence is absolutely incredible. At the Almaty concert I could only describe him as reminding me of Prince, Mick Jagger and Elvis all rolled into one person. Song wise, this shows probably about 2% of Dimash's true vocal ability though. But it's a killer song which didn't need him to do any of the vocal acrobatics.

@@Ascension721 actually I don't, it matters very little to me, most of my favourite songs are ones that he stays well within a 2 octave range. What I'm saying is that you can't judge everything Dimash does vocally, both with vocal dynamics, style, genres and yes, even vocal range with just one song. You know as well as I do that every song he does is drastically different from the last, unfortunately most people are used to artists that pick a genre and stay in it for their whole career. Something that Dimash couldn't do if he tried! He just is music personified.
@@Ascension721I think his vocal ability is the basis for his art. Without it he wouldn’t be able to CHOOSE the pitch, tone, style, placement, genre, emotion that fits the song. Others often sing very beautifully in one style all the time. But if they wanted to express something different, many of them wouldn’t be able to. And that limits their creativity. 😅 Yes, he shouldn’t be reduced to his range and techniques. At the same time it’s ok to mention them, since they are a part of his appeal. ❤
I love this video! He & his dad, [Dimashali] produced it, the concept was Dimash's as well as the music composition, but everything else was his too. Well he does have some songs that have a rap course in them that he does and of course he has other runs as impressive as the one in here except those are usually vocalized runs and not lyrical runs. I think he pulled this one off to perfection.

So glad you guys reacted to this Dimash latest creation. This song is Soul, Blues, R&B, Rock, and even a bit of Gospel harmonies all mixed in, and yet Dimash blended them all so well together. Catchy too. Guitar solo was awesome. Everyone who worked on this MV(more like a short film) has done such a great job. 👏 Dimash’s acting, the main actress, the scary butler and not to forget costumes and makeup designers… Best of all, is of course Dimash’s super vocal. He is a sexy vampire. 😊
Everything Dimash produces is Top Class....... what's lost about Dimash imo is that b/c he's the best vocalist alive, we pay little attention to the fact that he is one of the great young composers in music today..... His musical instincts are remarkable - the chord progressions, the bits & pieces of other genre's in the notes - and None of it Ever feels forced - it all flows gorgeously..... I Luv the darkness & the tone..... Great analysis guys - I really enjoy your perspective.....

p.s. thank u SO much for sharing that you appreciated this song with all of the new elements - for DQ - that he brought into it, the fusion of all the textures and styles he brought together in his own unique way - because a couple, and fortunately ONLY a couple out of ALL the many many reviewers I've seen, didn't like it because they thought it was too "beneath" him, too simple, too commercial....and they both said he should only sings songs in languages other than English...and I thought wow, to try and put an artist in a box and say your should only sings songs in this style, and only if you use your full 7 octave range every time, and never in English.....yikes...So I was thrilled that you appreciated the fact that he created a fantastic work of art and he didn't feel the need to use all 7 octaves....we love that, but it isn't necessary in every song, and I for one appreciate that DQ uses his instrument to serve the song!

Ran into this video the other day and gave it a chance since everybody seems to think his vocals are better than Freddie Mercury's. Impressive, I admit. - Btw: The percentage of non-subscribed watchers is a problem even for a non monetized channel. But at least you get the views and your channel gets recommended on the home page. You are very successful for 1 year on YT. Thanks to both of you and people like me that simply like you for the lovely humans you are. ☮
Freddie will always be a legend but technically Dimash is definitely the better vocalist. Also Dimash's stage presence is absolutely incredible. At the Almaty concert I could only describe him as reminding me of Prince, Mick Jagger and Elvis all rolled into one person.
Song wise, this shows probably about 2% of Dimash's true vocal ability though. But it's a killer song which didn't need him to do any of the vocal acrobatics.

@@Ascension721 actually I don't, it matters very little to me, most of my favourite songs are ones that he stays well within a 2 octave range. What I'm saying is that you can't judge everything Dimash does vocally, both with vocal dynamics, style, genres and yes, even vocal range with just one song. You know as well as I do that every song he does is drastically different from the last, unfortunately most people are used to artists that pick a genre and stay in it for their whole career. Something that Dimash couldn't do if he tried! He just is music personified.
@@Ascension721I think his vocal ability is the basis for his art. Without it he wouldn’t be able to CHOOSE the pitch, tone, style, placement, genre, emotion that fits the song.
Others often sing very beautifully in one style all the time. But if they wanted to express something different, many of them wouldn’t be able to. And that limits their creativity. 😅
Yes, he shouldn’t be reduced to his range and techniques. At the same time it’s ok to mention them, since they are a part of his appeal. ❤

I love this video! He & his dad, [Dimashali] produced it, the concept was Dimash's as well as the music composition, but everything else was his too. He had people who could bring it all to life, from costuming to what was said in the lyrics. Many actresses, & models auditioned before they found the right fit for the female role.

Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality...
Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is:
A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures.
Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing...
The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details.
As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone!
The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! She did cover "Bohemian Rhapsody" on agt champions 2020 and got the copyright from rest Queen to her version saying she killed it. I subscribed and many more will if you try her out.
