Great video. Just want to let everyone know that this kit works on the 2020 SR5 Tacoma. A couple of things: 1. the tpms wire was light pink on mine 2. I saw in another video but wasn’t in this one was when you connect the tpms wire from the unit to the harness the red wire connects to the wire you cut coming from the connector clipped into the bcm and the green wire goes to the other half of the wire you cut that runs into the rest of the wire harness. ( I don’t know if it makes a difference but people on the other video said they had problems and people in the comments said to switch the wires so they were like what I typed). 3. When you go to remote start it, it’s 3 slow presses of the lock button if you do 3 fast clicks it won’t start. 4. The tpms light will stay on until you put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position and step on the brake pedal. Once you do that you have performed the “takeover” and the tpms light will now go out. I hope that this info can be helpful to others as it answered some of the questions I had.
I was thinking about that because all the directions say to do is to "Cut the wire going to pin 33. Connect these two wires to the two cut wires". But I kept thinking but it's only one cut wire and then the order to connect them so thank you for this clarification.

Great video!! Took me about 30 minutes make sure all connections are clipped in right and when programming the ECU take your time took like me 3 times to get it right!
Thanks for the video, very helpful! The directions that come with the product are VERY basic and not helpful at all. On my 21 SR5, the wire in the 33 spot was pink if that helps anyone, and yes the tpms will throw warnings and light will flash until the truck is turned to the "on" position.

I just installed on a 2017 SR5. I was at the step to hold the button and plug in. It didn't get any LEDs until I let go of the button. It then flashed like it wasn't programmed. All LEDs blinking. I had to reground it. I didn't do it tight enough or it didn't connect properly. After that it worked like its supposed to. Also, i bought a ratcheting crimper for the TPS wire, but it was the cause of more headaches. It was set too strong and was snapping off the wires. I ended up using an old crappy crimper and somehow got it to hold the wires.
Excellen video, do you know if that system can control the car a/c or the car heated at the moment that the car is turning on as the new honda models?? Thanks
So when connecting the wires to the 33 pin, can you just connect the wires with the new connector, or do you need to remove the shielding and then crimp on the new connector?
Just installed and Mines working pretty normal. Question to others. Is the tpms light blinking on dash during remote start? It goes away when I put the key in and turn to on. Not sure if that’s normal or I need to check something. Other than that it works. Others let me know!

I ordered the kit and I have a very serious problem. I have a toyota tacoma 2021 SR5 and it turns out that when I press the door close button 3X it starts, but it closes the whole car and there is no way to open it. I have to wait the 10 minutes until it turns off before I can open it. Anyone know what I can do please
On my 2016 Tacoma sr5, I can’t get past step 5, I press program button 10 times, it starts doing the blinking, I put key in, turn to on position, lights quit and that’s it, no flashing afterwards. And this is the ONLY video I’ve found on a H-key tacoma
Hey Clinton, can you tell me are you just plugging in the black power connector to the start x module first and not the others? You will not see the programming lights with the other connectors inserted. The sequence is : connector power with programming button depressed, wait till blue, release, then connect all the remaining connectors to the start x module. Can you confirm you are doing that?
@@mikeleardo well mines white, I’ve been seeing the push start are small black ones and H-key 6 slot white ones. But yes I’ve done with both way and both ways I get the same result. Blue and red lights, push 10x then they both blink for a few seconds, stop and go again. Both ways, plugging everything else in after, and with it all plugged up, they blink until I turn the key to on and the black box(brain) doesn’t do anything from that point on. I’ve tried master reboot on the box, and still same result. Not sure what to do.
You get it through amazon? Order another and try and replace the brain unit. also please double check all the BCM harnesses are tight and clipped in.@@SkinsNation1212
@@mikeleardo ok thank you sir. Yeah I spent 20 minutes hooking it up if that and then 2 hours messing with it, going back thru all the connections and changing ground spots, until i gave up. It’s still hooked up, I got that TPS wire cut and hooked up. I emailed the help thing off the package but they only work mom-fri. I appreciate your response
Anyone having issues starting? Mine is sporadic. Sometimes I press 3x and it won’t start. Try a few more times and it may work. Last night I couldn’t unlock it once started and needed to use the key

Have a 2022 Tacoma SR with no TPMS, do I have to worry about hooking it up or do I need a different kit.😳

After reading again make sure you have the ignition to ON and not just accessory - two clicks!

Did the unlock button issue get resolved while the truck was running?
It seems to work now, but it doesn’t start on 3, it is almost always 4

@@harpreed just put the key turn and it stays on? I know a couple of them that turn off when you unlock or open the truck
