In Ian Rankin's period detective thriller, Cully, set in Edinburgh in the 1790s, the roguish private investigator Mr. Cullender, also known as 'Cully,' played by Alexander Morton, takes on a suspenseful case involving a series of ritualistic wine-cellar murders. At the time, the Press Gang roams the streets in search of recruits to fight Napoleon, while the city is disturbed by these mysterious killings. Cully, who has been accused of theft and dismissed from his profession, is given a chance at redemption when the Provost of Edinburgh tasks him with solving the murders within five days. If successful, the Provost might help get Cully reinstated. As Cully delves into the case, he encounters a diverse cast of characters, including Mary (Wendy Seager), the beleaguered Town Guard Sgt. Horsburgh (Douglas Russell), the enigmatic Jane alias 'Blackie' Bird (Cara Kelly), and the suspicious Lord Montbordeaux (John Buick). Each character adds layers of intrigue to the investigation, set against the bustling and often perilous backdrop of 18th-century Edinburgh. Directed by Patrick Rayner, Cully was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in October 1997, providing listeners with an immersive historical experience blended with gripping detective work.

Excellent ❤
This channel provides top notch audio experiences . You diss the guy because he is not an artist but he takes the time to provide what I find to be very interesting artwork. Do you stare at the screen while you're listening? Do you suggest he hire staff artists with the money you have contributed to the channel?
Thank you so much 😊😊😊
This is such a good story. Thank you!
Get rid of the daft AI drawings.
But thanks for the good stories
