Suntrust Resort Holdings Inc. announced it received a $38 million loan from its parent company, LET Group Holdings Limited, to finance its Westside City hotel and casino resort.
The loan will cover project costs and construction of the main hotel and casino. Repayment is due within 10 years, with the possibility of extension or early closure due to default.
Construction is progressing well, with structural work and the majority of the facade complete as of late 2023.
While a section of the sky bridge facade remains unfinished, Suntrust is still targeting an opening by the first quarter of 2025.

Suncity Resorts has announced that the Westside City Project’s completion date will be no later than March 31, 2024.
Suncity has again pushed back the completion date of its new Manila casino. The company previously said it hoped to open the resort by 2023, but has now said the resort will open on the last quarter of 2024 and rescheduled again on the first quarter of 2025.The reason for the new delay was not explained.
Suntrust signed a joint development agreement with Westside City Resorts World in October 2019, under which it agreed to fund the development and construction costs of the resort and will be appointed as the sole operator and manager of the operation.
The US$1bn project will include 400 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines, 400 five-star hotel rooms and 960 parking spaces covering 44,000 square metres. Last year, the operator designated local construction giant Megawide as the main contractor for the basement, podium and tower of the main casino hotel.
The Westside City Resorts world project is located in Entertainment City Paranaque,will include a 5-star hotel with at least 400 rooms, a casino with 400 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines for both mass and VIP markets, and a 960 space parking lot.
It’s the first foray into the Philippines for Hong Kong-listed Suncity, which has been aggressively diversifying its business.
