- Rossland (#4): Rossland was the "Golden City" of British Columbia. From the depths of fabulous Red Mountain celebrated mines like the LeRoi, Centre Star, War Eagle, Sourdough Alley, to resplendent Columbia Avenue, there were few minings towns like it anywhere in B.C.
I live in Warfield right below Rossland , beautifull area and rich in history :) thanks for posting !

I grew up in Trail. I have heard stories of the ore body, and that there is lots of ore still there, but technology to work in that super heated water does not yet exist.

Ross. Yes...it is Washington st. On the immediate right is the Old Bank of Montreal building which survived all the fires.
