Quesnel Forks is an amazingly well preserved ghost town on the back road to Baskerville. The preservation society of Likely deserve a thank you for all their efforts. I too visit it every year, must admit when I first went there it had a feel of a true deserted Ghost Town now, not so much - actually saw a motorhome there last year... Once again, a big thank you to Colin for posting these episodes, having a great time viewing.
I hope bill barlee had a chance to see the restorations done at the forks . They are phenomenal! Was just there last weekend and everything including the cedar chinking or siding pieces the redid authentically.
Bill sure did know his stuff I have panned in some of the sites he talked about I did not hit it big but I did find some nice small nuggets and flakes Bill will be missed if you would like to try panning watch these videos Bill gave good info about were to look

Wow. These productions offer a wealth of information about the history in our back yard.
That oddly shaped bottle is to keep the cork wet and swollen which keeps the contents from spoiling.

When did this series air ? Was it on Canadian network tv ? I dont recall ever watching it.
86 to 96 I think
It was produced by CHBC, the local Kelowna TV station serving the Okanagan. CHBC is now Global Okanagan, I believe.
