Existence (2021) - Animation Short Film

This is the first story I truly wrote.
Back in 2017, I was a freshman in college, and Coco had just been released. When I walked out of the theater, I thought, I must not forget my grandpa. Three years later, I decided to write a story about him. But what kind of person was he? I couldn't lie to myself. I couldn't remember him.
I tried to recall him. His photos, the things he used, the stories others told about. I became even more confused. Could it be that a person’s existence is only proven by these things?
I love him, I want to write about him. But why would someone love a person they cannot remember?
He loves me, he is good to me. Every time I think of him, I feel warmth in my heart. I want to remember him, and I want him to be remembered.
Perhaps, love can become the proof of existence.
