The tattoos were commonly used for beauty. I have older female Afghan family members with face tattoos as well and it is just passed down from generations and generations, it was just a common practice and men found it attractive. Nobody really does these facial tattoos anymore because it is prohibited in Islam. The reason why people got them in the first place was because they didn't know it was haram you can probably see why.
Well, I think it’s more complicated than that. While tattoos are forbidden in mainstream Islam. Shia Islam tend to view tattoos as something allowed as long it is in line within Islam. There’s zero mention of tattooing in the Quran but it does mention in Hadiths, but gives no reason.

The kid with the cap said Andiwala Salam alaikum which is hello my friend and when Chris said Salam alaikum they both replied with Walaikum Assalam ( peace be upon you too). These Kuchis, their traditions and tattoos are ancient remnants of the countless central Asian tribes that invaded this region and settled here. Some of the traditions could even be inherited from the Aryans that eventually conquered India
Tattoo is famous in Afghanistan especially the Pashtoon tripes do face tattoos. It is symbol of beauty, Kuchi women do it. Eye makeup called surma men and women do it even children newborn babies. Henna is famous they color their hair. And face tattoos. You see Taliban with black eye makeup called surma, long hair. Black hair and black eyes are symbol of strength. Men with lots of body hair is strength and strong men. Green eyes and lighter hair are viewed weak people or person. Fat women are valued in Afghanistan it is symbol of healthy and very light skin like snow white is symbol of beauty.
@@mysteriousjz I think it's strange to me that someone is very close to a cultures that are miles and miles away from him but did not do the little effort to learn what's around him first.
The facial tattoos on Afghan women go back thousands of years. They were a symbol of beauty, similar to women wearing makeup. It's an integral part of Afghanistan's cultural history but, unfortunately, the mullahs are making it a taboo for the people to wear.
I would have left and came back with rice, beans, a couple goats, and some tools, I would have helped them, such little money could make such a BIG impact in so many people that would make me feel really good knowing I presonally helped and the money wasn't stolen if you donate money to these so called charities

Kuchis are very poor and were systematically murdered by Hazaras during the 20 years of western occupation of Afghanistan. Due to the lack of education and no voice, their massacre was never brought forward for the world to see. You would see glimpses of it on Facebook but that was the extent of it.

The translator act as if he is not from Afghanistan 😁
@@mysteriousjz I think it's strange to me that someone is very close to a cultures that are miles and miles away from him but did not do the little effort to learn what's around him first.

The tattoos had a spiritual meaning, like native Indian, Mayan cultuur. But with time it has lost its real meaning and essence.
The facial tattoos on Afghan women go back thousands of years. They were a symbol of beauty, similar to women wearing makeup. It's an integral part of Afghanistan's cultural history but, unfortunately, the mullahs are making it a taboo for the people to wear.
I've similar trends throughout Africa. Thanks for your information.
@@ChrisMustList Yes, I've seen that as well.
I would have left and came back with rice, beans, a couple goats, and some tools, I would have helped them, such little money could make such a BIG impact in so many people that would make me feel really good knowing I presonally helped and the money wasn't stolen if you donate money to these so called charities
Rather than you talking about what you would do, why don't you do it?
@@ChrisMustList You're the one out there making a bad name for Americans, I will don't you worry, I have been in Mexico and other places. You brag about your Lamborghini rental then you had a chance to help a small community for not much money and you just took off after theu gave you all the content you're a bum
👍
Kuchis are very poor and were systematically murdered by Hazaras during the 20 years of western occupation of Afghanistan.
Due to the lack of education and no voice, their massacre was never brought forward for the world to see.
You would see glimpses of it on Facebook but that was the extent of it.
Hazaras have vilified them and continue to, and the world needs to know how cruel they can be when given the chance.
I'm glad the Taliban aren't following their example of massacre and letting people live their lives, whoever hard they are.
Wait dont hazaras claim that they are the most oppressed group 😂
@@Tabish_Nooristanithey claim that they were majority of Afghanistan in the 1800s 😂😂😂 until British brought Pashtuns from Pakistan and killed all the hazaras. I swear to god that’s what a lot of haZaras believe 😆
I hope you brought them some milk n rice mabey some meat 🍖 they spent the time showing you you should have donated some food. Mabey he gave them some money
I wish I could help every person that I meet on my travels with a big bag full of money, but the truth is I can't. I gave this community the $200 USD I had in my pocket. Thanks for watching!
I hope you give them money..
Yes I did, without having to film it. I hope you help someone that needs it, even a small fraction of what I give.
westerners who dont invade are great people.
I've never invaded, and I love your country!
