    This one is your best yet, man. Looks amazing. I love the shape of the shoulders. And the rosette and end graft are very cool.

      Thanks a lot! I got the material for the rosette and end graft from Crosscut Creations. I was just telling him in another comment that lots of people have told me how cool the rosette looks and I think it came out looking pretty cool too. It came out better than I thought. Thanks for the comment!

    Your videos have been a huge help to me, Chris - good honest footage of the ups and downs of guitar building - thank you so much

      Thanks a lot! I‘m glad the videos can be a help. It was one of my goals since doing my first build: to give a glimpse of what it is like for an untrained person to take on something as monumental as a guitar build: the good, the bad, and the ugly. If seeing me screw up helps someone else know what to avoid or do differently, then I’ve accomplished my goal. I feel that showing my mistakes is the most helpful thing I can do for others.

      @CMRWoodworks and you're getting so good at it Chris - you can see you're really getting the skills having done a couple of builds - please keep documenting every build - its gold

      Thank you! The rosette looks stinkin awesome and I get a lot of comments telling me that. Well, that was made as you know from one of your pen blanks, so thanks for making such a great combo of colors! It looks 3D in person. So cool.

      @@CMRWoodworks That’s so awesome! If you need more in the future, just let me know and if there’s a better size that I could cast, just let me know. I’m so glad it worked out.

    It looks great! And sounds very good. You're definitely getting better and learning about the process of building. I'm in the very beginning stages of guitar #2. I'm hoping I can continue to learn and get better.
    Great job in #3!

    Nice work! Have you decided what your next build will be? Maybe a tenor guitar, a baritone ukulele, or a resonator guitar? Just a few suggestions :-). I'm sure whatever you decide on, I'll watch the series. Keep up the good work!

      I‘m already working on another OM to try test a new neck joint method. I have a jumbo mold I built, so I really want to start a jumbo build. I am also planning an electric guitar build soon. Thanks for watching!

    Very nice guitar! I believe that top sounds better than the Martin it was never able to be. That top finally found a home. Sounds is fantastic and the looks great. If ever you sell that guitar let me know I might be interested. A guitar like that I would proud to play!

      Thanks so much Ed! It‘s actually already sold to a friend who has been trying to buy one since my first one. I told him no on the first two, but I finally decided to let go of number 3 even though it is basically a student-built guitar and not perfect. Thanks again for the top and for checking back in on it and taking time out of your day to comment!

    That guitar is beautiful!!! Such a cool shape with an amazing rosette. Love how all the colors work together, especially the fretboard and binding and headstock. Really nice playing, it sounds amazing, what did you record the audio with? Have you considered building a buffer? It will take your finishes to the next level, although it's pretty good already.

    • @CMRWoodworks
      @CMRWoodworks  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks so much! I recorded it with a condenser mic. I think it picks up better sound than the shotgun mic on the camera. As for a buffer, I definitely want to build or buy one. I very much dislike using the drill like I did. It’s difficult and wears my arm out trying to keep it steady. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!!

      There is a buffer build video on my channel, it's really easy and not that expensive. Keep up the great work.@@CMRWoodworks

      I do have single videos of full builds if you look through my video list, or I have a playlist that has all of them listed for easy access. Go to my channel and click on Playlists in the menu then you’ll find the playlist entitled “All Full Guitar Build Single Videos”. I hope to add a bunch more over the years. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
