So very beautiful! Isobelle, you are so talented! I love the three dimensional nature that you create with your craft knife, and draw with your clever fingers! Such a treasure you have made that old book into! I love it! Thanks for sharing this! ~Janet in Canada
Your talent is amazing! I am left speechless before your exquisite process of creating such a beautiful form of art! I wonder if you can create something about “The Virgin Mary of Guadalupe” in your hands would be a Tribute to her! 😊 My Respects!
I am in absolute awe of your work! It's so inspiring that I think I may take up book carving myself. May I ask where you just your inspiration/ideas from and how you decide what to do in each book and on each page?
I'm happy to hear that! I'd love to know how it turns out if you decide to have a go. I'm often just inspired by nature and old stories, I'm a bit of a daydreamer. :)
Thank you! Yes, I often glue all the pages up at the end to preserve the book/prevent damage. Sometimes people do request that some are left open, but it takes a lot more work. Thank you for stopping! :)
Hi. I'm into the same art but quite new. One of the challenges I face as a beginner is the placement of the book and how the pages change when the book is opened at diffrent pages. They never lime up for me and I get something I don't want. How do you manage to get those pages right
The only way I have ever dealt with that is to design the layers as I go. I'll cut the first page/section and then figure out the next move after, based on what I just cut. It's a lot of trial and error and very time consuming!
@@velerina2017 ah! I only glue up to 3 sections of 5 at a time, then put the book in a book press for a few hours. I don't glue the book all at once for the issue with lining up. It takes me up to a week to glue completely, then another week to dry in the press (or just with something heavy on top).
Passionnant calm talent. Respect. Merci de nous permettre de découvrir votre art.

Such an inspirational art work! Thank you for sharing. May I ask what glue do you use? 💕
Lovely work! Are you inspired by the book's title, or just the way the book feels?
Definitely just based on how the book feels - and thank you!
Wonderful work. Do you glue all the pages together when you have done the illustrations?

@@IsobelleOuzman no I mean how do you glue them right. I get wrinkles and stuff bcuz I don't press them at the right angles
