I have confidence that it will as well. A comment by the series' creator said that they will look for ways to continue it in the future, as I believe they have other projects to work on, so no need to worry that there's no news currently
I love this show. My only real complaint about it is that UrMa the Peacemaker and UrSen the Monk died off screen when their counterparts SkekVar and SkekLach were killed. I wish we knew more about those two UrRu.
I actually feel bad for the guy inside that costume, Daniel Dewhirst. According to the documentary The World of The Dark Crystal, the original Garthim suits weighed around 70 pounds (so heavy that a rack was built for the performers to rest between takes). If that's true for this Garthim, Dewhirst must be dying in there.

i'm pretty sure if he wasn't mistreated so badly he would have become more humane. He turned evil and selfish because he needed to thrive among the brute skeksis family.
My thoughts on the future of this series: Season 2: The Skeksis hunt the last colony of the Gruenak to make more Gartham. Meanwhile, Deet becomes the main antagonist after gaining control of The Darkening and tries to destroy the Mystics to kill the Skeksis, succeeding in killing urSan, killing the secondary antagonist skekSa, forcing Rian and skekSil to team up to defeat her. In the end, Deet uses her final strength to cast a “Darkening Curse” on skekSo, through urSu, preventing his body from accepting essence ever again. This in turn leads to the main Gelfing characters discovering the prophecy of the Skeksis’ End with help from the grateful Mystics. Season 3: After learning of the Prophecy from skekSil, haunted by another skekSis/Mystic death and his Anti-Essence Curse, AND after finally gathering enough material for a Gartham Army, The Emperor declares “The Gartham War is on!”. The main villain is urLii, who is revealed to have been the one who helped Deet master her powers, but only so he could move along his own plan, to use the Darkening to create an army of undead, lead by “Zombie Fara”, to “cleanse the world and start anew”, turning the war into a three-way version. In the end, urLii’s counterpart, skekLi, with help from the gelflings, skekGra, and urGoh, defeats him and use the shard to not only seal off the Darkening from use forever, but trigger a “Mini Great Conjunction” to reform LilLi and GraGoh the urSkeks. The final scene showing the gelfling continuing to fight the Gartham, with the narrator revealing that Rian and Brea are Jen’s ancestors while Kira is implied to be the last of the Grottan Clan. Season 4: An expanded/remade take on the original “Dark Crystal” Film.
hmm, that's actually pretty good, although I would think SkekUng would have taken a handful of Garthim with him to the circle of the sun to silence SkekGra and UrGoh to make sure they don't share anymore secrets with the Gelfings.

Netflix is so bad not only for the controversial movie they made I’m talking about the cuties. But also, for their stupid cancellation of good shows, they replace with god-awful shows. There was nothing wrong with the dark Crystal age of resistance. Now I get it it was expensive but Netflix could’ve chipped in and done something. No they chose not to you. They decided to be greedy good for nothing douche bags. I am grateful. I did cancel my account with the many years ago.

This child, Ashoni, is most likely Jen's elder sister! It also introduces Seladon's daughter, Katavra, who becomes the mother of Kira.

My thoughts on the future of this series:
Season 2:
